itchen_dan Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko Bolton winger target plays in Prem. Your boss has wrongfooted rivals on this one. So let him see it through. Good option to have. http://www.burndenaces.co.uk/2013/01/31/bolton-loan-southampton-winger.html Basically, there isn't one. From the Bolton News 8:14pm "OK - exclusive time! Wanderers have signed a winger on loan - Steven de Ridder from Southampton. One month at first, I understand." pingwing Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 Cant see De Ridder leaving with nothing coming in ? Crazy Diamond Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 Personally, no But he often makes the bench, but that was during Adams injury I suppose Indeed, and it baffles me he gets near it. If he decided one day not to try and beat four men and then attempt a cross, he might be a decent Championship winger. As it is, round one, round two, third closes in, cross attempted, hits defender and is cleared.
Under Weststand Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 Well quite a few periphery players loaned out, only real squad player out seems to be De-Ridder. Barry Sanchez Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 So in short a weak squad has got weaker to lower the wage bill?
WATERSIDEIFASAINT Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 If we pick up a few injuries now I think we could be in big trouble as we do not have enough quality back ups imo in the full back and winger positions. Our 1st team is excellent but I can not believe we have not brought a couple of players in on loan as we are only 3 points above the relegation places and could still easily get relegated if things go against on injuries, suspensions or loss of form. Our plan for the next few years would then be intatters as I am sure all our young stars wouldn't hang around in the ccc. I am very hopeful we will still be ok but I do think we are taking a pretty big risk which I find baffling when a new manager comes in and then doesn't bring anyone in even though we know about 7 or 8 of our 25 man squad are not of premiership quality at least!! Turkish Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 Is he any good?! Broke his leg last year and missed most of their relegation season. Was highly rated before that, player of the year a couple of season ago i think. Would say he'd be a definite improvement to the squad than De Ridder. S-Clarke Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 So in short a weak squad has got weaker to lower the wage bill? Not really, no. SDR, Reeves and Forte will be on pittance - so them leaving means zilch. They weren't playing anyway. Stop panicking.
pingwing Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 Is he any good?! Lee Chung-Yong missed an entire season with a broken leg last year (partly why Bolton went down), I think he's a really good player, good passer and good movement, the sort of guy we generally go for. Would be delighted if we signed him!
david in sweden Posted 31 January, 2013 Share Posted 31 January, 2013 (edited) Nixon said earlier that Chung-Yong was going no where. that would complicate the situation at SMS. Apparantly Tadanari Lee (likes to be called Chung) ....and this guy is Lee Chung Yong. Sounds like something out of the Goon Show ...wasn't it the Ýíng Tong Song......? If we had both it'd be easier to call them Smith and Jones, I guess. Edited 31 January, 2013 by david in sweden
