Favorite memories at Old Trafford

For me it was seeing Tim Flowers racing towards us, with half the team trailing in his wake, to celebrate a penalty save that knocked them out of the cup.

Others that spring to mind are Paul Jones wonder save, sadly in the time it took to shout "what a ****ing brilliant save" they scored!!

Being there when Saints won 4-1 with Ron Davies "credited" with all four goals!

Le Tiss v Taibi. Couldn't believe it when I saw it trickle in.

Only game I've seen at Old Trafford.

Remember telling my Utd supporting uncle that Taibi was crap when they signed him, based from watching Serie A on C4 on sundays - great eye for someone probably about 10.

Had some fun with him after that game (he took me, and we sat in with the utd fans.)

My first ever away game at 11 years old was at OT. Older brother was sports reporter for the Sun and got us tickets in the home end, went 1 nil up (Banger), before that the United fans around us were pretty sound, after that they started getting minstral. Luckily for us Giggs got 2 offside goals. Well I reckon they were offside ffs! Yep Giggs, fully 20 years ago, the Stretford end was being rebuild and the Clock end was still a terrace and Giggsy was banging goals in. Have to say he is a genuine great player.

Relegation season we had a Scandinavian Scarecrow playing for us who in his infinite wisdom though he would be wearing Gold boots for the occasion!!!!(FFS)

But my best memory from that game was Rooney scored, then a few moment later some wag in amongst us Saints fans pulled a Shrek poster out from inside his jacket and unfurled it, all the Saints fans were pointing at it chanting "Rooney, Rooney!". All the Man U fans were staring at us in amazement, then this chap turned to show them the poster and the majority of them started doing the we are not worthy bow laughing at the same time.

After losing 3-0 there ain't much you can take from a game.

Been a few times down the years. Only ever seen one result! The 3 all draw when Beattie should of won it in the final minute. Think that was the game Pahars 'megged Stam! Great game.

Sat in all parts of the ground too. Almost in tears once when we went one up through a Fernandez curler only to go down 2 - 1. I was in with the Irish Man U fans and was getting hugged left right and centre. I wanted to cry :-(

Remember that well. Was about to post it myself.

Steve Wigley's last game before he who shall not be named was appointed.

Shipperley scoring at our end in the 3rd round FA cup midweek, about 6000 of us there. Went mental, found myself 3 rows further down with a few lads on top of me, got up to find the goal had long been disallowed. 100% wrong decision. Lost the game, car broke down on the way home, got in 6am.

Oh, favourite memories, sorry. Ok, Simon Charlton scoring first, with Jeff Kenna a few seats from me, cheering us on, on behalf of Blackburn

I was there but I missed it. I saw Le Tiss take the shot which was more like a back pass and looked down at Stuart Ripley who was in yards of open space on the right. The next thing I hear is all the cheering and the ball's in the net.

This for me too...I got a bit of a slap afterwards for taking the p*ss at the station - thoroughly deserved but I was on such a gobby teenager high I couldn't shut up! We'd just beaten a team that had all the 'greats' in it ffs - I can still feel the buzz that I felt today...unbelievable!!

John Sydenham was unplayable that day too..rates as close on if not my actual favourite awayday 45 years later!
