Fair play to Artur - like many I was really unconvinced initialy but he has looked superb last three games. Commands his box, big guy who does not get pushed around and looks calm and confident. Lets hope he continues this form

I hated him so much when he played **** and then kicked a bottle at our fans. He has almost redeemed himself though, he's done us a great service in between the sticks over the last couple of months, I hope he keeps playing well for the run-in.

When did he actually play ****? Did it happen to be at the same time we were leaking goals left, right and centre because our defence had about as many holes in as a piece of Swiss cheese?

and if he wants to kick a bottle at a couple of mouthy bell ends who've probably never played football before then so be it!

Why did you hate him so much?

Can't help thinking he would be better if he stopped getting ****ed up at Maria's Polish Store in Shirley most nights of the week. I have a Sunderland supporting mate who sees him in there at least a couple of times a week and says he's setting a really poor example.

Why does it matter what team your mate supports? Because of this I dont believe your story, it was a pointless addition which makes me think its all made up.

I thought lashing out at his own fans was completely inexcusable, and frankly embarassing. We're lucky it wasn't completely blown up by the media. That said, he has been fantastic for us recently, and for that I applaud him and swallow the harsh words I uttered back then.

Well how does that work? If he really has done something as bad as lash out at Saints fan, to through point you really hate him, do you not think a bit fickle to now like him because he's played well in a couple of football matches? Why should his performances on the pitch in anyway influence your opinion of his behaviour as a whole?

Some people are just total gimps...happily will throw insults and run their mouths behind a hoarding and line of stewards... But if a plastic bottle comes their way as a result of it... All hell breaks loose.

I would say its totally excusable... International world renowned goalkeeper gets a mouth full from a couple of complete morons for no reason and throws (debatable) a plastic bottle at them so they p1ss off and shut up.

If you listen to half the comments that come from the stands.. You would think we have 30,000 ex professional footballers, linesmen and referees in our stadium. They all know how to play the game far better than someone who has played in a World Cup and the Champions League and can see an offside and a penalty from the other end of the ground.

It's another chance given to him. And it happened only 'cos polish coach wanted to have a chat with him about his commitment. Don't get too excited ;)

Andre and his Chapel mates should be prepared to take the blame for our relegation, should it happen

Ha! Hilarious.

It was a plastic bottle anyway. Nobody has ever been injured by a plastic bottle. Get some perspective FFS.

Not the point. They're part of the fanbase, you don't lose your top and throw a tantrum.

Good for him. Always nice to see a player get a call up.

What are his chances of playing though? I would have thought Sczenzcy would be first choice, but then again it's a friendly against Romania in Malaga. Strange.

Good to see the wallies in the Chapel who abused him have been proved wrong. We can only hope their antics don't get us relegated via the Gazza episode.

Well deserved call up.

2 cock-ups in 2 games, potentially costing 4 points. There is 36 other games in a season, with a total of 108 points on offer.

To blame relegation solely on Gazza for those two mistakes is more than a tadd harsh I think.

Another major step in NC's quest for Global Brand domination.

Saints are now being discussed regularly on Polish Fans Forums - even the SSN interviews were debated and how good for Polish footie that Artur was at such a progressive club.

Now just needs Flybe to start services or Ryanair from Bompey and we can get an extra few hundred in for the weekend games and shopping in Shirley High Street on our way to a 65,000 seater stadium

I don't, because I'm not a footballer. Boruc does because he's not prepared to take aggro from some mongs in the Chapel. Fair play.

deserves it after his display against everton, we can almost put out a full team of internationals now :)

what happened to the international watch thread?

The vocal minority. Probably part of the anti Hoddle brigade in 2004.
