Loved him... absolutely loved his commitment and passion.. but he was kinda ****e and way too slow for a RB

(also wasnt there a pic of him during a routine medical looking like he was cut from stone.. he got himself in really god shape!)... no homo

wasnt there a game when someone actually took him out good and proper..he just got up and laughed at said player..?

thought he was pretty decent...one of the better ones in that mini era...never gave anything less than 100% and was a decent player too...

V West Brom, John Hartson went for the ball at head height with his foot up and caught Ostlund right in the neck with his studs. Ostlund got up almost straight away and (probably because of that) Hartson didn't even get a yellow for what should have been a red.

Ostlund is one of my favourite players in all my times supporting Saints (Since 1983\84). Swedish international for many years. 100% committed to the club and gave everything when he played. Remember him dribbling the ball out of defense and went on a run right through the Wolves midfield when we beat them 0-6. Was outstanding in that match. A real character you could get behind (the chants from opposition fans were just hilarious at times - Derby away - "Gypo, Gypo") and much more skillful than he got credit for. Not the best player we've ever had but I appreciated what he did bring to the team.

The Hartson incident is on YouTube, Hartson did get a Yellow for the challenge, but was excellent to see a player just get up and carry on with the job at hand.
