Andre Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10190358.Guly_out__Lallana_in_/ The Echo is reporting that Guly has a knee injury. Lallana still isn't 100%, so who on earth is going to fill in on the left? Surely De Ridder isn't PL starting standard? Tough call to make for the boss. Glasgow_Saint Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Play J Rod or Chaplow out wide? Or Ramirez Lets face it nobody will be able to cover Guly fully as he's been our best player recently imho Hope he recovers V fast
Saint Garrett Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Lallana or Rodriguez. Maybe even Chaplow. Just not de ridder. Would rathe Reeves or Chambers.

egg Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Think it will be Reeves. Curveball would be Punch with Chambers on the right, or Clyne pushed forward.
jimbojones10 Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 personally id move gaston out to the left and then play jwp in the middle with cork and morgan, similar system to hoiw we set up against them at st marys. Another option is gaston on the left jay rod up front with lambert playing in the hole like he did vs stoke and villa

Turkish Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Well that's us f*cked for the next few weeks now Ferguson, Martinez and Mancini know not to prepare For Guly. 0 points from the next three games it is FFS
Stevie61163 Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 knowing Saints we will probably win at OT and then loose a Wigan either way I think that AL will start

Avenue Saint Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Adam Lallana. If on bench, then tad lee or de Ridder, don't want to mess with system and start moving players away from their most effective places.
melmacian_saint Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Once again, Steven Davis PLAYED in that position for both Rangers and Villa. In fact, he played a UEFA Cup final in that position!! Let's hope MP at least figures that out as we try to give Ramirez a more crucial role in his best position. slickmick Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Got to be De Ridder. He'll confuse the hell out of Man U.
sotonian Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 I think lalanna would be a big risk, he doesn't offer any protection to our left back, it's no coincidence we have defended far better since he's been out of the side

L1Minus10 Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Danny Fox for me... will help Shaw out and we'll have someone on the pitch who can take a free kick or corner - especially vital at OT. Adam on the bench

Saint Malc Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 I'd play my, one-legged, Auntie Flo instead of Guly. A real shoe-in if you want a direct replacement.

110_Persaint Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 Is this some kind of a sick joke It has to be. Glasgow's one of the more intelligent posters on here and is not shy of a bit of sarcasm every now and then. IMO a 50% match fit Lallana is miles better than any other Guly replacement we currently have (not to mention Guly himself). Frankly Pochettino would have to be quite mental to replace Guly with anyone else of the dross that is our second-string team at the moment. Matthew Le Tissier Posted 28 January, 2013 Share Posted 28 January, 2013 If Lallana is fit the team picks itself .if he's not it means playing some out of position as out of whats left I don't see left mid being any of there strongest positions. If he wasn't fit I would like to see him try 442 with Ramirez on left, which is not his best position I know. I would like to see lee up top playing off lambert. Or second choice muyaka in the same role. They both deserve to be given a crack in that role rather than being stuck out wide out of position
