Great to see the former Saint doing well in his start in management, they really held there own in the first half and looked a threat going forward but to be fair Chelsea didn't do themselves any favours. Interesting to see if his work in the lower leagues (apprenticeship) will lead to him becoming a PL manager in the future?

Apologies if this has been posted already, didn't see anything

My hero!

Seems to be doing a good job. When I heard he got the Brentford job I was pretty shocked, mainly because of the randomness of it to be fair. Pity they couldn't beat Chelsea yesterday though, that would have been great!

he was on talksport the other week..and he said it took him ages to even land an interview in england...he has had (i think he said) higher success in foreign leagues but no one in england would entertain even an interview...

it was through contacts that managed to get an interview at brentford and they instantly offered him the job.....and they look bloody good for it..

they have a 5 year plan to establish themselves as a top half NPC team......

Congrats to him. Bit odd people calling him a saints legend on twitter though!

Exactly! If anything, he's surely a Man City legend, well for their fans who stuck with them in the dark late 90s anyway...

He did quite a good job with three different clubs in Norway, among them Molde, which he saved from relegation, doubling their points that season (8-2-0) and making way for the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Good for him and the club! They have Harley Dean who was in our academy for a bit too, apparently he's doing really well there and the club is looking to build a 17k stadium over the next few years. Their chairman pushed them to be a cat 2 academy with a bit of his own cash. Thought it was pretty cool.

Rösler always seems to start bright at the clubs he's managed here in Norway, Lillestrom and Viking Stavanger, but at both places it fizzed out after a short while. Hope he can keep the steam at Brentford.

I fell in love with that ground of theirs.

The terracing, the crammed seating on top of each other, the old style floodlights. Beautiful.

The pubs at each of the four corners...

Was by Robbie Jackson from Eastenders, and I won't have anyone tell me different.

Dodds testimonial was the Wednesday before the Brighton game ;)
