If Walcott hadn't signed a new contract would have loved to see us try and bring him back this month.

Would like to see us sign David Villa or Antonio Valencia - Valencia's crosses onto Lamberts head = Goals.

Shame we didn't move for Sneijder, only went for €7m in the end.

I have a sneeky feeling that it's all gone quiet as Cortese has been busy behind the scenes.

I would like to have a guess and say that Biglia will come in with young nippy winger on loan from Madrid/Barca.

Defence is sound for now and they will have to wait for Astori in the summer IMHO.

Brede Hangeland is letting his contract run at Fulham, I bet Fulham will be trying to sell him in the summer. Which means, if you really have 12-15 mill lying around, you can have Hangeland & Forren together both on club and national team. The last time two Norwegians partnered in both club and national team was Ronny Johnsen and Henning Berg, at Manchester United in the nineties. They were ace, and IMO Forren and Hangeland are even better. They would be such a classic partnership too, one is ball playing and technical with a great passing foot but also a good challenger, while the other is a beast in duels.

I rate him, but how old is he now?

Once again a total non-comprehension of the contract and transfer system. As far as I know Hangeland is out of contract in June, that means that if Fulham want to "sell" him it has to be in the next few days unless he goes to Russia or Japan or the US

where the window is slightly different. If his contract runs out at Fulham and he doesn't want to renegociate a new one he just walks away free to sign wherever he wants. He won't be worth 10 million because he has just a few months of contract to fulfill.

As I see it he's keeping his options open but one of them won't be signing with Saints.

30 I believe. Snap him on a 5 year contract you pretty much own him for the prime of his career.

I actually think based on that he will be under 10 mill as well now.

prime for a CB is usually around 26-32, maya will be 10 times better than him in 2 years.

Um, Brede has 1 year + the period up til summer left. At least that's what the Norwegian newspapers have been saying. If they're wrong then that's fine, but it has nothing to do with my comprehension of anything.

Looks like the Norwegian press is wrong
