Is there anything we can do to improve the look of the stadium?

I am not talking about the capacity or enlarging it to some huge size simply are there things we could do to make it look and feel more unique?

Pillars or something to catch the eye, maybe even changing one end hugely so it will be a "our end" as such and different from the others.

Well we saw the "plans" in the season ticket video. There is nothing to say that some developments would just be to improve the stadium, rather than expand it?

I think a row of nice Chesterfield chairs in the Chapel would be nice. Maybe a recliner or two so us old farts with bad knees could put our feet up.

Maybe a robot burger van bumbling up and down the steps at half time?

Something like this?

I still think the Tiger Woods Crazy golf in the Itchen has merit and I am sure Trousers will still have the plans for the Monkey Chicken Petting Zoo

Can I have one of those nice wooden bowls full of pot-pourri ? And maybe do the back of one of the stands in some flock patterned wallpaper as a "feature" ?

We need a statue of Cortese.

ONE statue is League One mentality. We need six gold ones, all built by people who can't speak English, but can really.

Barry, when you say 'we', how much are you prepared to pay for this? I agree that the stadium is architecturally bland but it was also relativley cheap.

Grandad, I will chip in about £7.13.

This could work. All wearing those Romanesque Oak Leaves on their heads and Togas and handing out the scrolls to the media.

Then that would let us bring in some nice polished marble in the Centre Cricle & replace the corner flags with some of those scroll topped pillars

We could have them like Babuska Dolls, with Cortese the biggest one, take his tpop half off and it gives you Les Reed, then MP, all the way down to a tiny one which is Jordan Sibley.

Our stadium is boring and has about as much atmosphere as a funeral in West End on a Monday morning, we need to sex it up a bit now that we have all this dough to spend on players and wages.

I'm happy to lead the action team for this, but only if I get to go on South Today and say how brilliant the detailing is on the shoes.

I know just the person to do it too. He's never created a bronze sculpture in his life but he is a lifelong Saints fan. And did a cracking job on my tax return the other week.

We need an Italian Cypress Tree avenue leading from the centre of town straight up to the reception.

I'd also like the players to come not from the tunnel at the side, but emerge up from under the ground on a gentle sloping ramp, which is closed of by a large iron grae.

We need banners hanging from the roof and women who br3asts pop out in the stands.

I'd also like a Lion on a chain at the side of the pitch and maybe a chariot or two.

Failing that , removing the cladding on the outside and replacing it with transparant cladding so you get more light into the concourses would be a good start.

I'm looking forward to your pre-unvailing comments, something along the lines of this would be fitting

"It's very rare I'm lost for words but I saw the statue last week and it's awesome - a tremendous tribute to a great man.

"Fans have waited a long time for this and it's fantastic."

A statue of Rupert Lowe. LOL.

..a wax work most certainly. In a Madam Tussaud's Saints attraction. He could sit in the Chamber of Horrors along with Wotte, Harry Redknapp, Sir Clive Woodward, the original Ted Bates statue and Nicola Cortese.

How about bubbles that magically fly up into the air from the touchline? Oh, wait, it's been done. And it looks cack. To the point I can barely watch a game on MOTD from Upton Park.

As for us, a nice floating halo around the whole ground above the roof, made of gold. God knows what you'd need to put inside it to make it float.

Nah can be done cheaper than that.

Just get every radio or TV interview recorded with Rupert aim the speakers into the Halo balloon and enough hot air to keep it afloat for decades.

Have to be careful though, could only play in snippets - don't want to get Flybe all upset by getting in the way of their planes

Sure if you scrimp on the actual gold and just use gold coloured. Still a balloon halo would be a good idea - unless it developed a hole and sunk onto the pitch mid game, or broke loose of its anchor and crashed into a Flybe jet...

I'm not too concerned about the look. I'd rather they got some decent beer on tap and and a more welcoming concourse. It's grey and dreary. And also a TV which I can see.

Twigs in sticks. You can't go wrong with twigs in sticks. Kirsty from Location, Location, Location says it will increase the value of any property AND make it look contemporary.

Painting it blue and leasing it out to Poopey would be a rather post modern ironic thing to do

Hidden in your post is the real answer to that statement! :-)

As nice as our stadium is in terms of facilities. it really is bland personified at least the dell had real character to it back then we had a unique stadium I'm not saying it was suitable for the premiership it clearly wasn't, more that we now have a generic stadium in the rough end of town that has zero character wether or not that matters is down to debate.
