As of 31st December 2012, England were 4th in the UEFA Respect Fair Play Rankings. At the end of the season the top 3 nations earn a place in 1st qualifying round of the Europa League.

This could be of some interest to us, as Saints are currently joint 2nd with Fulham, behind Arsenal in 1st in the Premier League fair play table.

We could be going on a European tour!

First game under Pochettino, 2 yellow cards, not sure if this means anything but I really hope we'll be the top of this table and the Premier League in the top three come season end. I wouldn't go as far as saying it would be a European 'tour'... but it would be nice to watch a match or two!

We will get a few more yellow cars and probably the odd red for the rest of the season. Morgan was walking a tightrope towards the end on Monday.

It's not just about cards anyway. Fulham have more yellows than us and a red, Arsenal have 2 reds more than us. The places will go to the 3 nordic nations where they play wimp football anyway.

Not too much you can do when Fellani is dictating to the ref who is bad and how (despite elbowing people in the face) he isn't...

I'm not. Seen plenty of teams our size or smaller, Fulham, Boro, Bolton, even Pompey have some memorable European nights and even our own short-lived experience in 2003 was great. Yes it's difficult with more games, but if handled sensibly there's no reason it can't be done. Sides abroad seem to welcome it. Rather go for that than the league or fa cup.

That is true about sides abroad.

The nature of the prem seems to mean the EL is some sort of black sheep

Extremely true. I guess it's difficult to judge a league to have any 'fair play' when there is so much controversy and deception (milking) by players. Hope we win it though, I do.
