TopGun Posted 25 November, 2008 Share Posted 25 November, 2008 This one between Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux at the French GP in 1979 was a good 'un. Any more? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=j3tXJm9tYGM&feature=related

St Landrew Posted 26 November, 2008 Share Posted 26 November, 2008 I'll take the Nigel Mansell/Nelson Piquet duel at Silverstone. For those that don't know, the year was 1987. The battle for the win was between Mansell and Piquet. Mansell was forced to pit but then got his head down in a relentless pursuit of his team-mate. The laps were running out as Nigel closed, but instead of having trouble getting past Piquet he immediately tricked him into thinking he was going to pass on one side into Stowe corner, and instead jinked to the other and went on to win. Senna was third for Lotus, but a lap behind the Williams pair. That's how fast they both were. Arizona Posted 26 November, 2008 Share Posted 26 November, 2008 Senna vs Mansell at Monaco in 1992 was alright. As for title fights, Hakkinen and Schumacher in 2000 was pretty exciting, although I'd say this season top's it pretty easily.
