Squad off to Barca trip thread...

I can assure you that all the photos are real and from the dressing room, I took them myself just the other day... hand on heart no wind up. The Nicola quotes raised my eyebrows too.
I think it was the other photo that was added after yours that people think is a wind-up?

the lambert one? nope I took that one as well it's with the other two in the corner next to the shower entrance. Personally it's my favourite as it shows some humour from the lads. (As it happens I was on a tour with some yr11 school kids at the time...lolz)

they probably didn't even notice, everyday word when you're in year 11.

OK, there is no way those are real. They wouldn't allow swear words on display in the stadium, they give school kids tours etc.

Kids that go to games get to hear the same language, both from the crowd and the players, so goes with the territory really...

These posters look like the product of one of those team-bonding / character-building sessions that I've sometimes been to - usually run by over enthusiastic Americans - whereby the players had to come up with the first phrase that entered their head about playing for Saints and, in turn, Cortese got to reply to each. All harmless psycho-babble at the end of the day.

Couple of questions/observations.

In the early pics of the players in the stands at the Nou Camp, were those seat covers there because they'd heard Punch was on the trip?

I'm not sure they are at Barca's training ground. Those rubber mats look suspiciously like the ones you use on Snow Stormers and Summit Plummet at Disney's Blizzard Beach waterpark in Orlando.

Chung Lee and Maya are racing the wrong way around the Olympic Stadium track. Athletics races go anti-clockwise.

But it's not uncommon to turn in the other direction on an athletics track when you train on them regularly. If you always use the same anti-clockwise rotation it builds up some ligaments and muscles more than others. So when there's no-one else around and you're running say 12x400m fractions you run them in series of 3 in alternate directions.

Correct. Got a feeling these aren't a wind-up though, doubt anyone wanted to correct NC's grammar!

If it makes anyone feel better, on the match whiteboard the word Offensive was spelled with one f as well. In as patronising a way as possible we remarked it was nice that Mauricio was giving the language a go... in hindsight it was more likely Punch leaving a warning for his team mates after his mid match absence.

fifth picture down on that school site news article and you can see them in the background, but probably hundreds of pounds of CGI was spent editing them in... Jeez if you really give that much of a ****, tweet a player and ask them or just phone the stadium then you'll have ur answer.

It's no good all this 'soft as ****e' training.

We need to get the players in shorts, plimsolls and singlets running in the snow on the North Yorks Moors and then a few pints down the Cat and Fiddle.

I don't think Hod woud, agree with that sort of training. That was WGS approach, mixed with a bit of Sturrock. Your standards are slipping (thank feck).
