Thedelldays Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 It's not very often I am lost for words, but if that does say Nicola... There aren't enough facepalms in the world... Saint_clark Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 Yes I'm starting to think maybe someone is having a laugh... Although the idea that the players were asked for quotes that inspired them and Lambert replied by screaming "F*CKING COME ON!" is quite funny. Mallagroth Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 the lambert one? nope I took that one as well it's with the other two in the corner next to the shower entrance. Personally it's my favourite as it shows some humour from the lads. trousers Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 (edited) OK, there is no way those are real. They wouldn't allow swear words on display in the stadium, they give school kids tours etc. Kids that go to games get to hear the same language, both from the crowd and the players, so goes with the territory really... These posters look like the product of one of those team-bonding / character-building sessions that I've sometimes been to - usually run by over enthusiastic Americans - whereby the players had to come up with the first phrase that entered their head about playing for Saints and, in turn, Cortese got to reply to each. All harmless psycho-babble at the end of the day. Edited 24 January, 2013 by trousers
Mallagroth Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 yeah pretty much, the tour guide (Herbie) seemed a little awkward when the first thing they did was recite it loud as possible... 'moving swiftly on...'

FloridaMarlin Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 Couple of questions/observations. In the early pics of the players in the stands at the Nou Camp, were those seat covers there because they'd heard Punch was on the trip? I'm not sure they are at Barca's training ground. Those rubber mats look suspiciously like the ones you use on Snow Stormers and Summit Plummet at Disney's Blizzard Beach waterpark in Orlando. Chung Lee and Maya are racing the wrong way around the Olympic Stadium track. Athletics races go anti-clockwise.

Chung Lee and Maya are racing the wrong way around the Olympic Stadium track. Athletics races go anti-clockwise. But it's not uncommon to turn in the other direction on an athletics track when you train on them regularly. If you always use the same anti-clockwise rotation it builds up some ligaments and muscles more than others. So when there's no-one else around and you're running say 12x400m fractions you run them in series of 3 in alternate directions.
Mallagroth Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 Correct. Got a feeling these aren't a wind-up though, doubt anyone wanted to correct NC's grammar! If it makes anyone feel better, on the match whiteboard the word Offensive was spelled with one f as well. In as patronising a way as possible we remarked it was nice that Mauricio was giving the language a go... in hindsight it was more likely Punch leaving a warning for his team mates after his mid match absence.
