Seeing as Barca are kindly letting use their training ground maybe we should 'pay it forward' and let Pompey use staplewood for a few days? give them a nice tour of SMS etc. They are struggling to find somewhere to train. We're getting to use the training facilities at the biggest club in the world and pompey could get a go at the biggest club in Hampshire.

I presume we're paying Barca something so that lets Pompey out of anything similar really.

]I think Davis is behind Puncheon[/b] (Lallana is wearing green boots in the stretching pic). Cork is over the far side. With ball could be Morgan or Forren perhaps.

Could be AL in the blue bib in front of the ball player.

I wouldn't fancy standing behind Puncheon after Monday nights problem...

So how many other people have done this then? They'll be up at the top commentary positions soon....

Off there for Barca vs Seville at the end of February, the weekend we are away to Newcastle

Just watched the Lallana interview from the Barca training camp... he's talking about the possibility of Champions League. Well, alluding to it so as not to sound stupid if it doesn't happen.

Do the players really believe this !!! :o Fair play if that's the goal, but my oh my...

I believe they're talking about playing at Nou Camp as something to aspire to, rather than something to actually aim for.

The SFC propaganda machine is well oiled at the moment I see.
Non-stop tweets about being in Barcelona, nice bit of kudos training there, but don't need to over push it.

It really has gone into overdrive in order to get through the shiitstorm. Working, too, by the sounds of most on here.

Clever new tactic (to be used at Old Trafford?) having 2 'keepers in goal.

I wonder which outfield position is going to be sacrificed?

Not sure it will be allowed though.

Have to say that someone has thought this trip through.

Sure is different from the usual trips to La Manga or whatever that we used to see teams doing.

Bit concerned however about manure's new tactic of turning up and infesting our local golf tournaments.

Thank fook they went to Qatar not here....

@jordansibley Great day in Spain. Tour of the Camp Nou this morning followed by training session at @FCBarcelona's training ground.

Ward-Prowse, the cheeky b*stard...said in his interview that the weather wasn't that great!!!

Said of FB that lallana has resumed full training.

Surely will at least be in the bench against united???

We don't need him for that game. We'll have Courtinho...

Yep. Wouldn't surprise me if he starts ahead of Guly either.

I think he was expecting Barcelona in January to be 30c.

They are currently training in sunny Spain at Barcelona's training ground and the Olympic stadium with temperatures 10c warmer than they would have at Staplewood, so he can't complain too much.

Paid my own visit to a tour of 'Englands Barcelona' this week. Herbie the tour guide was a legend and had some great stories about the club and the stadium over the years, had some nice things to say about Nige and what he changed as well. I also got a chance to take a pic of the new managers tactics flipchart left up from Monday night in first team dressing room, make of it what you will, but I thought it gave an insight into how he matched them up. Also liking the players and their quotes posters up in the first team dressing room.

What are the things that look like sports bras the players all wear in training these days?

They are to hold a GPS system, movement, heart rate monitor etc thing that goes in a pocket between the shoulder blades.

"Too many suitors for you Luke, so in between games and training I am literally going to hold onto you"

Posted
It reads "Nicola."

A third one says "Remember, Southampton Football Club loves you" or something along those lines. Also from "Nicola."

Leave it out  That's a joke, surely?

Can anyone make out who those quotes are by at the bottom?

Whoever it is they can't write. 'Other's? Overcapitalisation? Sack the proof-reader...

It certainly looks like it, and as I said above the second one sounds like something he'd say

It's not very often I am lost for words, but if that does say Nicola... There aren't enough facepalms in the world...
