Uh-oh. That's him off to Chelsea then and I am downgrading my prediction from possible win to loss immediately if this is true

Luke Shaw@Luke_shaw3:)

He seems okay.

If true, then maybe he's being rested?

seems to have gone to Manchester with the others though.

Still think we may move him forward a notch tonight.

Isgrove? Never know - first start at OT?

Now, that sounds a shout for me.....!

Or, if Fox has been recalled;

-------------------- Boruc ---------------------

Clyne ------- Forren ------- Yoshida ------ Shaw

------------- Morgan ------ Cork ---------------

Puncheon ---------- Ramirez ---------Isgrove/Fox

-------------------- Lambert -------------------

TBF, if we get any/many set pieces tonight, we need to make the most of them. Fox is our best dead ball specialist. Although it's not a reason to have him in the team, maybe that is what they're thinking if thats the case.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Fox on the left. Wouldn't be a bad move either. Bit of width, delivery and protection for Shaw.

Before seeing the Villa game I'd have agreed; but Fox came on for Ramirez for the last 15-20 minutes of that game and we instantly looked much worse. He thought he was playing left back (despite the fact he was supposed to be LM) but offered absolutely nothing going forwards, choosing instead to sit deep and invite their full back on. he didn't seem to have any knowledge of how to play left midfield, and I think he'd be a complete passenger if we try that tonight. We may as well waste Ramirez out there rather than play Fox.

Bit harsh as he actually was at left back as Shaw got injured. And he had De Ridder infront of him..

Some week for Fox, from suggestions he's getting sent packing to the championship to rumours that he's getting picked over Shaw at Old Trafford.

As a player who can't defend, I wouldn't want him at LB and as a player who never gets forward I wouldn't want him at LM.

Personally I could see him effectively sitting on the half way line allowing Shaw freedom to roam as he saw fit.

Sounds like you just don't want him :-)

Or this could be Big Mo's way of telling the chairman we need a wide player.

We saw saggy put 2 keepers on the subs bench as a indicator that he does not have enough players,we could be following suit by playing Fox as a LM

Maybe Fox left back Shaw at left mid?

might make sense, let Shaw run at them for 45 minutes down their weak(er) right side and then drop back to LB to let Lallana take over on the left. Other than that if Shaw really isn't 100% it may well be that Fox is at LB and Puncheon will move from right to left because he's not too bad defensively. 3rd solution Davis and Cork at CM and Morgan on the left just to cover up Fox's weaknesses, bit of a waste that though.

Wouldn't be a bad idea at all if they can rotate during the match.

Yes it would, Fox in the Premier League (let alone at Old Trafford) is a disaster waiting to happen. He has no pace or positional sense.

His football manager stats are OK. Can do a job there anyway.

I am also surprised to see MLG mugging off Fox! He was one of the main stays of my Champions League winning FM team on account of his apparently excellent pace and positional sense.

Fox is not up to it in the PL - anyone who saw all the early games when he was LB would agree - he was invovled in giving several goals away as he was skinned or when headed the ball right back into the attackers' feet.

perhaps he's had 2 weeks of good coaching and all those drawbacks are now part of history.:rolleyes:

What do you propose as the answer then?

What's his pace mark on FM bear? Lets see how accurate MLG is....

- Boruc in goal

- Back four of Clyne, Yoshida, Forren, Shaw

- Schneiderlin and Cork in central midfield

- Puncheon, Ramirez, Rodriguez, Lambert as the front four rotating during the game as normal, with Lallana to come on in the second half
