Barry Sanchez Posted 23 January, 2013 Share Posted 23 January, 2013 I see you can't man up and admit that you were very wrong about him. Because I happen to believe he is very inconsistent and him not being snapped up by otherz makes me question the whole saga, what is the point of Gazzaniga? Who signed him? What about building for the future? What about Butland? Are we still in for him? He had some great games for Celtic but was very dodgy in some others, I simply dont rate him and neither do a lot of others sides as they have not gone in for him, people want him to be great so they make a good solid display one that resembles a custers last stand, please. Just ask Celtic fans, he will cost us points as he did them. He showed last night and in previous games that he is the top class goalkeeper that many of us said he would be given some time. He made one world class save and one very good save and did everything else that was asked of him calmy and confidently. I'm not sure what more you expect of a keeper. it was interesting to watch Gary Neville talke about De Gea against Spurs and how his poor punch at the end undid his earlier good saves and how that a top class keeper needs to do everything right. Ours seemed to do that last night. Needs a contract extension. My reply is inbetween other posts sorry.
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 23 January, 2013 Share Posted 23 January, 2013 Boruc's performance against Everton was solid and by far his best performance in a Saints shirt so far. I genuinely hope he can keep it up. However, I am not about to get as carried away about this as some others on here. The sad facts of the matter are that in previous performances he has looked decidedly jittery at times and nothing like a world class keeper. Against Arsenal he also did really well (and probably had a little more to do than he had against Everton), but at the start of that match he made several clownish handling errors that could have been costly. It even got a comment on the MoTD coverage that evening. Confidence, however, is a funny thing and I hope that having gained some from a couple of clean sheets and the removal of the handling errors he will now go on to live up to the billing which you are giving him. At the same time, I hope too that Gazzanigga will grow in confidence and ability over the next few years to live up to the promise that he showed at Gillingham. Finally, though, I also hope that if Kelvin Davis (a keeper who has remained incredibly loyal to the club despite some awful treatment by the boo-boys) should be called on again this season, he will be given more of a chance than some on here have given him. Don't forget that it was he who performed so well for us in goal over the Christmas period and beforehand, earning a sustained spell back in the side for his consistency. It was only when we came up against Arsenal on New Year's Day that he lost his place to Boruc - for whatever reason that Adkins decided to make that change (or was it Cortese's decision?!) So, in summary: lets not get carried away, but let's also stop berating our keepers for the slightest wayward kick and get behind whoever is in goal - whether it be Boruc, Gazzanigga, Davis, Cropper or some other new keeper that we might happen to sign in the next couple of weeks! RobM Posted 23 January, 2013 Share Posted 23 January, 2013 I hope that's a joke....especially the first line. He was our best goalkeeper the moment he walked through the door... Those that didn't know that and were saying Gazza this or Davis that had probably never heard of him / understand nothing of football outside of England / typical retard who attends games shouts their ******** off but know very little. Even worse is retards who don't bother reading posts on a forum and launch into a personal attack against somebody who made a very clear point about the Polish international team. Even worse is when they do it in a stupid colour.
davefizzy14 Posted 23 January, 2013 Share Posted 23 January, 2013 Always thought he was an immense kepper from his time at Celtic and has been great since he has come back in the team Congrats Artur for your recall to the Polish National Team

bargeld Posted 23 January, 2013 Share Posted 23 January, 2013 it doesn't matter now as they divorced. "On 11 June 2008, Boruc's then-wife Katarzyna gave birth to their son, Aleksander ("Aleks"), in Warsaw. Boruc and his wife separated in 2008, amid reports of his relationship with former Polish Idol contestant Sara Mannei.Fiancée Sara Mannei gave birth to daughter Amelia on 9 August 2010 in Poland. Boruc lives with Sara, Amelia, and Oliwia, his partner's daughter from a previous relationship." BTW Sara Mannei was linked to one of polish gangsters - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/scottishnews/1962644/Boruc-girl-is-gangsters-ex.html Trust me, following his career is a great fun

B Rabbit Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 Even worse is retards who don't bother reading posts on a forum and launch into a personal attack against somebody who made a very clear point about the Polish international team. Even worse is when they do it in a stupid colour. Please show me where it mentions anywhere in here about the international team? It talks about being 3rd choice GK and the domestic bottle incident ... So maybe I should have trawled to the other thread mentioned so I could see how 'very clearly' this post was talking about international football. ...and who am I personally attacking? It was a more general slur ofthe average footballing mong (hence the... 'those that didnt know that....) who thinks a 19 year old GK is a better choice than an international / champions league regular experienced pro. You've described a colour as stupid... Well done retard. Originally Posted by bargeld as i said in Artur Boruc thread it is a big suprise 'cos we have better goalkeepers and he is our third goalkeeper...but still. Cabrone Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 He's a bit of a nutter but I like my GKs a bit crazy, makes them a more exciting. As long as they can do the job that is. The abuse Boruc has received on this site has really made me laugh, amazes me that people can post such strong vitriol about a player when it's obvious they don't know much about him atall. Just relieved that the club have finally got the GK situation sorted - Boruc clear No 1 with the experienced Davis and apprentice Gazza in the wings ready to step in if needed. tajjuk Posted 24 January, 2013 Share Posted 24 January, 2013 What a legend - EXCLUSIVE: CELTIC STAR'S THUG FURY Apr 22 2007 By Lynn Mcpherson & David Taylor CELTIC star Artur Boruc was hailed a hero last night after rescuing a pregnant Pole from racist thugs. The brave goalie saved Magda Kucko, 27, who is due to give birth within days, after she was attacked by three louts and their vicious Doberman dogs. Last night, she said: "Artur is a very brave man, a hero. I cannot bear to think what might have happened if he had not been there for us. We will never forget his courage." The thugs taunted Magda with vile racist abuse before assaulting her as she walked through a Glasgow park with her sister and brother-in-law. By chance, Artur was nearby. He angrily confronted the gang - one woman and two men who threatened to release two snarling Doberman dogs - in Elder Park, Govan. Magda's terrified brother-in-law Janusz Lizok, 39, had his ear bitten by one of the men, who then punched him to the ground. And Magda fell after being struck on the back of her head by a beer can thrown by the female thug, who kicked her in the back. Her sister Halina, 39, was punched in the face. But 6ft 4in Artur, rushed to the group's aid after hearing desperate Magda's cries for help during the attack in Govan. He had been visiting his cousin - a neighbour of the family - and managed to free Janusz, 39, before angrily confronting his attackers, who fled. The big-hearted star insisted on driving Magda, whose baby is due on Wednesday, to hospital in his car. Last night modest Artur, 27, played down his courage claiming: "I am not a hero. I just did what any ordinary person would have done." Shocked Magda, who is still too afraid to leave her house, said: "I had no idea who he was. "My husband Woitek told me later he was a famous footballer but I am very grateful to him. "I know my husband wants to say a big thank you to Artur." The attack happened as Magda, whose sister and brother-in-law were visiting Scotland for the first time, walked through the park near her home last Sunday at around 3pm. She said: "We were walking from the underground to meet my husband, who was with our 18-month-old daughter Maya. "We could hear the group singing songs. They had beer cans and were obviously drunk, so we avoided eye contact. "But they ran after us. They must have heard us speaking Polish because they shouted, 'Why don't you go home', and, 'Stop stealing our jobs.' They jumped on my brother-in-law and started to beat him up. "One of them bit him on his ear. I tried to call the police and the girl attacked me. She hit me on the head with a beer can. I was stunned and fell to the ground "She knew I was pregnant, because at first she had shouted to the men to leave me alone. I think she was on drugs, because she was smiling the whole time. "My sister came over to try and help me and the girl punched her. "I don't even remember shouting for help as I was in shock and couldn't see out of one eye but Artur Boruc came rushing over. "He took off his watch and gave it tome as if he was going to launch in and fight the men. He managed to get my brother-in-law away from them, split them up and then calmed down the situation. "The gang had two scary-looking Doberman dogs with them and threatened to release them." At this point, Magda's horrified husband, construction worker Woitek, 26, arrived. He said: "I've been in Scotland since January 2006 and have never come across anything like this before. "Magda was in shock and Artur insisted on taking us to hospital to have her checked out. "He contacted us later to check she was OK. It's good to know there are people like him around." A traumatised Magda, originally from Ketrzyn, near Gdansk, was kept in overnight at Glasgow's Suthern General Hospital by medics worried about her high blood pressure. She has now been given a clean bill of health - and the couple have pledged not to let the experience put them off Scotland. Magda, who has a degree in child psychology, said: "We think the Scots are a great people, and they have been so friendly to us. "I hope the police catch the people who did it as until they do I won't feel very safe." Police confirmed they are still investigating the incident in Govan, which has a growing Polish community. Glasgow's Polish community leader Aleksandr Alfer, 66, said: "This is a rare incident. Scottish people have been nothing but welcoming to Polish people." Polish international Artur, 26, lives with his stunning blonde wife Katarzyna in a Glasgow penthouse. The glamorous couple have been labelled Poland's Posh and Becks. He has been a sensation for Celtic since his arrival from Legia Warsaw in July 2006. A Celtic spokesman said: "Artur did what he felt was the right thing to do and we are pleased he was able to help." 'They heard us speaking Polish and shouted at us.. then they jumped on my brother-in-law and one bit him on his ear'
