Pre match interview!!

Did any see the pre match interview on SSN? According to my brothers mother in law (who is a Spanish national) the translator was saying something completely different to what MP was saying. To me it looked like he was reading from a Pre prepared card...

Yep, it was very odd to say the least. No idea what the translator was looking down at, but he certainly didn't seem to be translating verbatim (at one point MP mentioned Premier League a couple of times but the translater didn't come close to saying it).

 

He needs to learn English pretty quickly, I'd suggest.

The questions were pre asked in advanced and then done for the camera

The reason why he was looking down is because he had an iPad with the app where it puts his speech into text. Then he read it out.

 

No one cold remember word for word what he said. He goes on a bit

I think he was trying to write it down, in the post match interview the translator stopped him because he was saying too much, but MP was also understanding the questions and looked like he wanted to answer before the translator came in.

That was brilliant, Ranieri gave a 50 word answer which the guy basically put into a typical English cliche like "game of two halves".

It's because it doesn't matter what the manager said, it's all about what NC had written down and what he 'should' be saying!
