saint_sinner Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 We really would be #laughingstock Can we have a poll to see how many will? Personally I think its a cr*p idea & I for one will not be partaking in any protest. I will be getting behind the team and the new manager Also heard self appointed 'Fans Spokesman!!??' explaining that they do it in Spain on 5Live! Idiot! Complain about Italian Chairman and appointment of an Argentinian manager with a Spanish protest? WTF??
Thedelldays Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Sky sports news were all over it saying large scale demonstrations expected Time will tell
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Can someone check on the extent of hanky sales in soton today... Should give us a good idea:lol:
saintbob40 Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 What about the yoof, they dont tend to have hankies. They tend to wipe their nose on their sleeve if it gets a bit snoty. Should they just hold up the offending snotty sleeve instead?
JackFrost Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 I would find it funny if McMillan, Chorley and any of the other two people in SISA did it and absolutely no-one took a blind bit of notice.
jamesfp1 Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Don't do the hanky. It is wwaannky. Reply Of The Year 2013
Appy Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 These large scale protests they are going on about can't be that big. No one I know has heard a peep.
CityRanger Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 I've got a mate works in the toilets in St Mary's. They've been told to remove all white toilet paper and hand wipe tissue. Don't shoot the messenger...
saintbob40 Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 A waaanky hanky-shouldn't this thread be a sticky one?
saint_sinner Posted 21 January, 2013 Author Posted 21 January, 2013 I've got a mate works in the toilets in St Mary's. They've been told to remove all white toilet paper and hand wipe tissue. Don't shoot the messenger... if this is true, I've heard it all!! Perhaps they should put in different colour loo roll & perhaps a few hand dryers!
studentsaint Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Protest signs and white hankies have been ordered by Cortese to be confescated by stewards at the gates. I know this because workers at tonight's game have been informed.
scotty Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Can someone check on the extent of hanky sales in soton today... Should give us a good idea:lol: To be fair, it has been a bit parky.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 I will be pointing and laughing at anyone who waves a hanky.
trousers Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Sky sports news were all over it saying large scale demonstrations expected Time will tell The media are buffoons
CityRanger Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Protest signs and white hankies have been ordered by Cortese to be confescated by stewards at the gates. I know this because workers at tonight's game have been informed. Heard this too. Get there early as people being searched apparently...
Saint Garrett Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Don't think many will do it, if they do it'll be the minority. All will happen is there will be a dew adkins songs, especially if we go behind. A lot of support for the team but also some anti cortese song. This hanky thing is ghey.
influx Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Oh I hope not, i don't think i could bare the embarrasment if our fans did this. In fact I'd probably never leave the house again, aww the shame!!!
saint_sinner Posted 21 January, 2013 Author Posted 21 January, 2013 there will be a lot of confiscating hankies tonight then as most people SISA's age (50+) carry a hanky with them at all times!
Norm Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Ok, I've got to own up and say I will be getting my (off) white hankie out tonight. I have a streaming cold and need to wipe my nose every minute. I just hope as I wave it around, I don't manage to infect anyone sat near me in Row Y.
trousers Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 I counted 3 hankies altogether. Anyone beat that?
S-Clarke Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 I counted 3 hankies altogether. Anyone beat that? I just saw 1.
Frank's cousin Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 I counted 3 hankies altogether. Anyone beat that? saw someone with a small white table cloth - or large napkin, everyone was staring at him though.
Colinjb Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 There was four at most. The protest died on it's arse.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 The SISA had the chance on national TV to send the Hanky message out, and they blew it.............
Frank's cousin Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 FWIW Nigel would have been proud of the fans tonight - did exactly what he would have done which is remain fully behind the side, and not make and undignified protest that might have impacted on the team and MP. Was good to see. The 'only one NA chant was loud and clear, but did not become a dominent message. good all round repsonse. Glad no one headed the only and only SISA bloke.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 Saw a couple in the Chapel about 3 blocks apart and someone waggling a tissue.
krissyboy31 Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 I counted 3 hankies altogether. Anyone beat that? So the whole of SISA's membership then.
SaintBobby Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 I do wonder about these SISA people. Was that a success? Viva la revolution.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 21 January, 2013 Posted 21 January, 2013 The SISA had the chance on national TV to send the Hanky message out, and they blew it............. Very good - I see what you did there! LOL
bpsaint Posted 22 January, 2013 Posted 22 January, 2013 There was a group of around 6 sat near the dugout pre match waving them about. Also saw a couple in the kingsland waving what looked like a pair of pillowcases, although they may just had really bad colds.
