If we win....

will credit be given to Pottichino or will the plaudits still go to Adkins....as it is his squad and some will say the new boss has too little time to influence or make his mark on the playing style and the players.

if we lose....

will it be all Pottichinos (or even Cortese, indirectly) fault.....even though he had little time to influence or make his mark on the playing style and the players.or will it be Adkins...as its his squad and the squad are still adopting his style not the new gaffers way yet.

There will be a 64 page debate with a mixture of people arguing for each of the above options going around in circles until they are blue in the face. HTH :)

Either way. This game tonight will have very little to do with the new man

We were not winning much anyway.. And I think had Nigel still been here, beating Everton would have been unlikely.

After the feel good factor of taking a point at Chelsea last week I fully expected to win this game under Adkins so if we don't get off to a flier tonight under MP with a probable loss away to Man Utd that would more than likely draw us back into the relegation zone then this change, and at this time, would be under heavy scrutiny. Only time will tell.

It's unfortunate that Pochettinos first three games are all ones that we could have quite easily lost under Adkins, as you just know people won't be as forgiving now. The first time we can start to complain, for me, is Wigan away.

I don't know, United looked distinctly beatable yesterday, if only Dempsey could finish properly most of the time Spurs probably would have won. Maybe Utd will put out a better side against us though and not cut off their nose to spite their face because they were afraid of Bale.

You can never expect anything other than a beating at OT.

Don't be absurd, getting upset about not beating United is almost as ridiculous as those people who complained we "only" drew away to Chelsea.

In all honesty, I'd be happy with 3 points from these 3 games.

Not getting upset, just said that Utd looked beatable yesterday, what's wrong with that ?

Maybe they did, but didn't they say on MOTD last night that only 3 teams have ever had a better start in the top flight? United will break records this season, and that doesn't involve having two bad results in a row.

Spurs beat them due mainly to a Balefest, which is why they had Phil Jones a centre back at RM yesterday and Cleverley at LM

instead of Valencia.

you never know, in theory we'll be lucky to escape with a short defeat but the Utd that I saw yesterday were not world beaters

and their CBs looked fragile, probably due to the incessant snow. Mind you they'd had a toughy midweek I think against West Ham.
