Edmonton Saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Can't see a build up thread, so thought I would start one. Jan is likely to stick with the same side as Saturday according to the O.S, Svensson is one match away from fitness(which has been the case since Sept) so won't be risked. Can we finally get back to back wins or will it be another limp home display and defeat?
1976_Child Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Oh when the Saints! Oh when the Saints! Oh when the Saints go marching in! I wanna be in that number! Oh when the Saints go marching in!
Andy_Porter Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 I've got a good feeling about tonight. coyr
trousers Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 We lose everytime I post on here on the day of a game.....fact
ExSt Peter Saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 I've got a good feeling about tonight. coyr Wish I did.
saintwarwick Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Well I have just found out my car is still not ready at the garage so it looks like I will miss this game. Last game I missed was Norwich, we won that one.
paris Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 You know what to do then... We lose everytime I post on here on the day of a game.....fact
Saint Martini Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 COYR!!!! Lets get back to back wins!!!! Btw, what's the food of the day? I think we should go for cupcakes.
goodymatt Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 anywhere where i can listen to the game live for free???? really hoping we can get another win tonight...come on you saints!!!!
davefoggy Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 i am looking forward to tonight more than the wolves game. gonna be bloody cold tho...bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! thank **** for the hip flask
VectisSaint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 We lose everytime I post on here on the day of a game.....fact So you thought you would post, rather than staying away in the hope we might win  Once again if we don't win tonight all the good and the optimism from Saturday will be wasted. Hopefully JP has learned what he needs to do now. I think I will avoid listening to the radio, we seem to do better when I pretend nothing is happening. If we lose, you will all know I tuned in after all.
NickG Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Well I have just found out my car is still not ready at the garage so it looks like I will miss this game. Last game I missed was Norwich, we won that one. take it from post and your location you are not local? Would offer to help but guessing you are too far away sorry
NickG Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 JP in echo confirms unchanged side. Think I will need to wrap up -even colder now with ground half empty!
Window Cleaner Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 COYR!!!! Lets get back to back wins!!!! Btw, what's the food of the day? I think we should go for cupcakes. Those aren't Cupcakes they're iced fancies.
NickG Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 my iced fancies were never that posh where I grew up
Arizona Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 For the first time this season I can say, there is nothing I would change about the team that played the last match. I'm going for a scrappy 0-0 and spending the rest of the night defrosting my b*llocks on a hot water bottle.
Fowllyd Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Looking forward to freezing my nuts off in the Kingsland. My heart tells me we'll win 3-1; if my head thinks otherwise my heart's telling it to stfu. And quite right too.
washsaint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 We'll win tonight.........every time I'm out of the country on business or holiday we win! I'm going for 2-1 tonight. 3 points tonight and the outlook will look a whole lot rosier and hopefully we can start moving upwards rather than looking over our shoulder at the drop zone.
saintwarwick Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 take it from post and your location you are not local? Would offer to help but guessing you are too far away sorry Correct not local, live in Warwick. Car not ready until 6 and no way will I make it on time. You need 2 1/2-3 hours this time of night to get to SMS. the man at the garage said the car would be ready for 4 oclock, fuming.

What, so you're not even going to bother renting a car to get to the game? Plastic fan!

Don't forget to get him to give you a note to hand in at the office at the next home game then. The Rupert Haters will be counting you in their number if you don't.
team-saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 i thought surman was suspended for 5 yellows?
Andy_Porter Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 i thought surman was suspended for 5 yellows? If he has got 5 yellows then the ban doesn't kick in until 7 days after the 5th yellow.
Fowllyd Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 i thought surman was suspended for 5 yellows? I think he will be for the Charlton game.
Saint Martini Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Those aren't Cupcakes they're iced fancies. Ok, bloody google giving me the wrong pictures when I type in cupcakes.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Ok, bloody google giving me the wrong pictures when I type in cupcakes. Because whoever put the article up on Google doesn't know the difference, neither do I for that matter. The cup cakes we always had as kids were flat, iced but flat.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 I would like to think that we are going to get 3 points this evening, however, knowing my beloved Saints...
Foxy Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Full of hope but once again I find myself thinking I haven't a clue what will happen. Not much in the way of useful insight there, then.
forever a red and white Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 any one know how i can listen to the game on the net without the saint?
SaintDonkey Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Can we play well for 3 games in a row? I reckon so - Birmingham, Derby, Birmingham back in August. I don't think we played that well against Exeter the match before even thogh we won, but we did play well against Birmingham and lost just as we played well against Wolves and lost. So a win tonight please. And then a win on Saturday!
Window Cleaner Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Exactly as predicted Saints: Davis, James, Cork, Perry, Skacel, Surman, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Wright-Phillips, McGoldrick, Robertson. Subs: Forecast, Wotton, Gasmi, Paterson, Pearce. No Mpenza for Plymouth, pity, he's over the hill now, would be like playing against 10 men.
Thedelldays Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 same team deserve the run out..lets hope we are not let down as for mpenza..he has scored a couple lately..
Window Cleaner Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 (edited) same team deserve the run out..lets hope we are not let down as for mpenza..he has scored a couple lately.. But he won't be scoring any today. I guess Luggy worked out that against a young side like ours who are likely to swarm all over you it's best not to have passengers like Mpenza, even if the do score tap ins from time to time.No fool is Luggy. Edited 25 November, 2008 by Window Cleaner
Thedelldays Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 But he won't be scoring any today. you watch...some real crap player who has not scored ever will score against us o his backside..
Plumstead_Saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Come on Saints! I reckon we'll be 1-0 winners in a scrappy game. Gutted if Surman will be missing at Charlton though
Jesus Reigned Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 So one Plymouth goalscorer from the week-end not even in the squad, and the other only on the bench. Not exactly a team of household names, but no doubt we'll soon find out how hardworking they are. And Folly being in the team concerns me......
saint_stevo Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 This thread stinks of superstition...... You really think Lancashire can handle Mpenza? 2-0 Plymouth, both for Emile i'm afraid
Plumstead_Saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 This thread stinks of superstition...... You really think Lancashire can handle Mpenza? 2-0 Plymouth, both for Emile i'm afraid Mpenza will find that hard as he is not playing
saint_stevo Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Mpenza will find that hard as he is not playing Have just seen that! Change to 1-0 Saints then!
Window Cleaner Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Mpenza will find that hard as he is not playing Neither is Lancashire , so they can have a game of 28 behind the bike shed to resolve the question.
saint_stevo Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 I hang my head in shame..... We will walk this league
Saint Martini Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 A bit harsh on Pearce he isn't playing. He's been the best defender every match he's played. That said, the team that beat Reading deserve to get another shot.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Come on Saints. Stanley has seen the light on the road to Damascus, or Portsmouth but certainly not the road to SMS.
Greenridge Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Stanley has seen the light on the road to Damascus, or Portsmouth but certainly not the road to SMS. You not able to make the game either WC? I'm stuck in a hotel in Denmark and relying on the web. COYR!
Mole Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Stanley has seen the light on the road to Damascus, or Portsmouth but certainly not the road to SMS. ********, i bet i've done more Saints game that you window licker. I'll take a Saints win and low sms attendance. Nice.
dubai_phil Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Stanley has seen the light on the road to Damascus, or Portsmouth but certainly not the road to SMS. Damascus - great place for a night out, nice food, great clubs and bars and even a karaoke bar! :smt023 Meanwhile I worry about Cope going on about the pitch, his buddy (Dave Armstrong is it?) expressing the virtues of the facilities and the team.......
