Enough is Enough!

We can sulk, we can hurl insults, wave white handkerchiefs, whinge away in cyberspace or we can do what Nigel always said:

"Draw a blue line under it all and move on."

Amen.

Seconded.

Cortese may be ruthless but so far all we have done is move forward since he took charge.

We get it. Some of you are obviously happy moving on and ignoring whats going on at our club. Thats your business, do as you please, if ever the day comes when you think NC has gone too far perhaps you'l see things differently, perhaps you wont. How about you stop trying to tell others what they should or should not do? Plenty of folk arent happy to keep quiet and let NC get on with it, tommorrow night might well evidence that.

Not sure I go along with the logic of anything goes if you've saved the club. It's possible to appreciate the last couple of years while completely disagreeing and being disgusted with the current actions.

Plenty of clubs have a bit of money to spend and ambition, you need a decent manager to make it happen and that's exactly what we had. Perhaps NC didn't like that most fans viewed it that way. I mean, if you keep progressing with different managers, there's only one constant and that's Cortese.

+1.

But bless all the 'moving on' brigade...

The fact is, by staying up Saints get into the new TV financial deal by being in the Premiership next year. Ultimately NC, and his control of the club finances, will be affected by the decision to sack NA and appoint new management. He has gambled on what he feels is an improvement.

Personally I think the NA way was good enough, but maybe, like most fans, I am "family club ambitious", rather than "Champions League" ambitious.

Why can't the move on brigade get on with fu cking moving on and stop starting threads telling the rest of us what to do.

You want to move on? Fine. Fu ck off and move on then. See ya.

Can't believe no-one has started a new "Moving on" thread in the last 15mins, the forum is really missing another one.

The timing was wrong, we all agree to this: BUT as Saints fans we've been damaged quite badly by indecisive directors who take an age and waste time in choosing a replacement. Nigel maybe had reached his limit, perhaps so, perhaps not but all this winging and infighting is doing nobody any good whatsoever. Grow up.

Latest score:

People banging on about moving on 37

People banging on about people banging on about moving on 38

All to play for.

Worth saying this is just people bickering on a message board.

Far from "doing nobody any good whatsoever" , it is simply of no consequence whatsover. It certainly has no impact on our football team. None.

I think you might need to "grow up" if you can't grasp that.

Actually I think you are wrong. The last moving on thread I dismissed but after this one I think I'm going to change my mind and move on. Well done to the original poster I have seen the error of my ways.

Coincidentally, I've now decided to be angry about it all until the end of time.

I can grasp the pointless futility of such a debate and how it has no impact on anything that happens either way and that the internet and such messageboards are for this kind of banter...hence why I'm expressing my opinion and in such an unadulterate retort....you grow up :p

I could be wrong, but isn't it appropriate for someone to wave a season ticket about now?

Will all the people that want to move on please move on and all that don't want to move on please stop telling those that want to move on to move on and leave those that do want to move on to move on knowing that they've moved on without being told to

Sorry if this has been posted in another thread - it encapsulates my feelings.

http://www.not606.com/content.php/1928-Enough-is-enough?

Completely agree - except why does it have to be a blue line?? Why not red or black or in the sand or ....... well you get the picture

BTW - agree it could have been handled better, but did NA really get a raw deal from us? We picked him up from the obscurity of S****horpe, gave him a great contract and lots of dosh to build a great team to get promotion from L1, and NPC (which was probably unexpected, but great credit to him). So now he has a great reputation (thanks to us and the money he had to spend), was well paid, and will no doubt get generous compensation, and will absolutely get a much better and higher profile job than he would have if he was just moving from S****horpe. He would not have done the double promotion with anyone else as they would not have given him the funds, and certainly not with Scunny!

So good luck Nig - you served us well, but think we also greatly helped your career progress - as long as you get a decent new job soon (which is a "home banker"), all should be well!

I was pretty saddened lie most about the whole affair, but I find the childish depressed numpties vharping on about how evil Cortese is to be frankly boring. So boring that I am now numb to the sadness and just want to get behind the team on Monday - its what supporters do best. Trying to second guess the circumstances of Adkins departure is not.

Anyone remember Blythe and Ridgeway rowing the Atlantic? Ridgeway got the 'Glory' medal as he was an officer and Blythe, who did most of the rowing the 'lower' award. Nigel and the players have done all the rowing yet some of you are intimating 'Cortese' alone saved the Club. All he has done is make the boat watertight. The Manager and players are the engine and MP will be steering but a slightly different track. NA still had a lot to give.Cortese has yet to prove his worth.

Yes, we have to move on and forward or we die.

All things in life are like this. There is nothing worse than the moping friend who can never move on for example from a broken relationship.

We have much to look forward to and a Premiership status to fight for.

Let us roll up our sleeves and get on with it. But, when we have time to reflect, let us not forget NA, for he has done a lot for this club.

Many, like me, suffered the trauma of seeing our premier status thrown away in the Spring of 2004, but although I will never forget that sorry episode, and intend to one day play my part in revealing the truth about the vocal minority, I supported SFC throughout.
