Goalkeeping coach rather implies Kelvin Davis won't be kept on as goalkeeping coach.

two birds one stone, Jiminez is Pochettino's assistant and a GK coach to boot,Davis will probably be out of here to the next club that puts in a loan offer.

I put up a link to all this yesterday on another thread with exactly the same subject.

What I don't like is that there has been no official announcement (I can't find anything on the OS!) that anyone other than Nigel has left ?

Surely there could have been some words of thanks to Crosbie, Wilkins etc.. who all played a big part in our recent successive promotions !

Also no official mention of these new Spanish guys, I realise that we are just the punters, here to pay our money and accept what is done without question, but as far as communication goes, it is pretty cr#p IMHO !!

Edit : seems it's just been done now, 4 days after the first announcement !

Perhaps they're all on gardening leave until NA gets another job and comes calling.

Do any of them speak good English? Let's bloody well hope so!

Apparantly they speak better than Pochettino does. Also Fran Alonso speaks both well.

Phew - As much as football is an international language I was hoping NC wouldn't be that silly. Well sounds like they all know each other very well. Here's hoping it brings even better fortunes for Saints.

Now we've seen what staff he will bring it will be interesting to see if we sign anyone who is a manger fave from another or ex-club

I've just realized that in order for Tadanari Lee to understand what the f**k is going on, Pochettino will originally speak to the team which will then be translated by his Spanish translator who will then say it in English then Lee's translator will translate it and pass it on to him...

Chinese whispers anyone?

Nope short cut, Maya will tell him. Keep telling you Pochettino speaks English, might be rusty but I've heard him, for basic things it's good enough.

It's football. The EPL is on TV in Europe for about 10/12 hours a week. Laudrup knew a lot about the PL did he?

I watch a lot of the EPL on TV - I'm not sure that qualifies me to manage a PL club.

I'd have a go if asked though, its good money for at least 2.5 years even if I f*cked up - which I would obviously.

But if you were already a top order coach in some top flight league, an ex-international having played in 3 or 4 countries you might be up to the job then mighten you ? Far too much is being made of nationality here, soon there will be few English managers in the PL at all. English mentality to football seems to be dragging them down, fiery scots seem to get along fine though.

The trials of a modern day manager :)

Seriously though can any of the back room staff speak English?
