One Nigel Adkins chart for 1 min at Ko

I think the Chairman must be praying to the snow gods to get tomorrows' match postponed.

Would it not be better that the game is played, Saints win and the first match in a positive atmosphere without negative chanting looking back and is out the way quickly? If the game was called off (which it won't), the next game is away at Old Trafford in 10 days time.

So we undermine Mauricio Pochettino by creating a negative atmosphere in an important home game? Yeah, great idea...

Because SMS is going to be such a happy and uplifting place tomorrow isn't it? Apart from a few tools like you I don't know anyone who isn't fuming and certainly intend to make their thanks & appreciation of Nigel known to the world.

Should not do anything that could affect the players and be a distraction, clearly doing that would be a distraction, how about just going to the game and supporting the lads and acting like grown ups, sorry to be radical ................. like !!

For one minute ?

I'd hope the players were abit more focused tbh

After that draw a blue line under it !!!

You really don't live in the real world, do you?

You're just a freaking oddball.

Why do people think that us singing "one Nigel Adkins" is going to affect the players in any way at all? It's not even negative, it's not even a gripe at Cortese, it's not even a gripe at the new guy. It's simply an appreciation to the man that has got this football club back on the straight and narrow. The excuse of it creating a "negative" atmosphere is simply ridiculous.

You are the biggest clown on this forum by a mile. And that's saying something considering the number of complete helmets on here.

In what way is showing an appreciation to our former manager, who achieved so much in his time here, negative chanting?

How about this for 90 minutes (similar to Adam Lallana chant). It's supporting the team, relitively positive, but lets everyone know who we feel about Adkins at the same time.

This ^^^ (lgtl s post )

Maybe as the players come out right until Ko

It's a stupid, childish irrelevant idea.

We all regret what's happened to Nige, but it's done.

It's not like he's going to have to start eating at a soup kitchen is it? He'll have a huge severance package and will have anew job within weeks.

Get behind the team and get over it.

The problem is with that is that the situation was needlessly created by a tyrannical chairman. I don't advocate or support negativity but I won't be surprised if the overwhelming feeling around the ground is hostile and negative. It was created by the boardroom mafia.

I can only hope we put in a good performance and secure a great result as the timing of this f()cking dreadful.

Y'see, everyone is already arguing on here... that's because of this whole sorry situation.

Starting from the 1st minute, sing 'One Nigel Adkins' for 1 minute. Support the team for the following 4 minutes. On the 5th minute another 1 minute of 'One Nigel Adkins'. Support the team for the following 4 minutes. And continue in this pattern for the rest of the game.

Some of our fans struggle to stand up straight, this might be a bit of a challenge for them.

All these statements are correct. We should certainly support NA but not at the detriment of the team ie booing if we go a goal down etc

Coming from that it comes across that the players aren't that bothered Nigel has gone

It's not that. They are professional. They want to stay in the league and I'm sure NC explained his decision to them. They play for a club not a particular Manager and will have experienced Managers leaving before.

They are there to get on with the job.

End of the day whether we agree or not NC has changed the manager because he thinks it will make us better.

Petty fans trying to make themselves feel better. I'd like to know that Adkins hears us sing his name while the teamsheet is shown on sky and before the game but throughout the match seriously?

What affect do you think you have on the chairman? After the game will he reinstate Nigel? No.

Would people take a loss tomorrow in order to sulk at the decision of a man that helped save our club?

Adkins should have stayed but there is nothing we can do. I say sing at the beginning and at the end maybe to show appreciation but don't undermine what the players are trying to achieve.

manji, you and are normally very similar in our leanings but at the moment I'm finding SFC and Cortese a bit of a tough one to stomach.

To me its quite simple. Cortese wants this club to do well probably more than anyone on this board. He is an egotist and will want to be proved right for starters.

I totally appreciate what Adkins has done for this club. But I reckon he was getting out of his depth. Weve all moaned about it. His faffing around with goalkeepers, his frankly bizzare substitutions. I mean for goodness sakes how many winning positions have we given away this season.

I feel sorry for Adkins but we are in the Premier League now and Cortese has invested an enormous amount of money for us to be a couple of points above Reading.

I am also getting ****ed off with all the ******s coming out of the woodwork as soon as there is some dissent amongst the supporters.

I am fully behind Corteses decision ( we are not a ****inn charity) and I am fully behind the new manager. Whats wrong with that ? No ones died . Nige will get a good pay off and another good job.

We have a manager that was interviewed by Real Madrid and we are still signing players. Whats the problem ?

All this girly mass hysteria is the same as when Pardew got the push. How did that go ?

Chant !!! ^^^

Think we should get something going tommorow

I thought "one Nigel Adkins" for 1 minute just after kick off

Then followed by a minutes applause

Then full backing to the manager and team etc

What does everyone else think ?

Great! Everton will be glad of all the distraction you can give.. Expect Everton to be one nil up in seconds.

Better BEFORE kick off. Then cheer our team from the whistle.

You probably dont sing anyway. i expect you sit on your hands in the kingsland analysing the pace of Jack Cork, the positioning of Boruc and trying to guess the mentality of Mayuka from seeing him the bench. So your opinion on atmospheres is irrelevant.

Do you seriously think the players dislike Nigel Adkins so much that they would be instantly conceding goals to Everton should anyone dare to chant it?

Hope the Northam sing it long and loud. All match.

Yep. Everton are guaranteed to score because for one minute fans are singing the name of a popular ex manager. Chelsea concede every game on the 16th minute as their players are so distracted by the clapping of their ex manager.

With NA, after the Chelsea game, I had us down to win this game but now I'm not so certain and the bookies have cut the odds on us being relegated. Is that called taking the club forward?

If MP is so great why didn't Real Madrid take him...
