Yep. He's an employee drawing a huge salary for doing job using his mates credit card. IIRC the biggest salary Lowe took out of the club was £250k, that was the year we finished 8th in the premir league. Corteses wage in L1 was c£600k before all the expenses he put through the club.

Yet, the owners (if there are any) seem perfectly happy...

Why not show you utter displeasure at the owners for paying this employee such a wage

I bet you don't

The £600k was for half a year IIRC. All the expenses put through the club is correct as you know.

Yes, you're right. So £1.2m a year when we were in L1 turning over £11m a year. Plus all expenses put through the club. Good work if you can get it.

I haven't had much time to write recently, but this warranted making some sacrifices to do so. If anybody has a couple of minutes spare, take a look:

Decent read and can appreciate your sentiments - however I would argue with teh use of 'sporting grounds'. Only last week we gained 3 points at Villa through what is arguably not a very sporting situation. Getting an advantage even if it means doing something 'not very nice' seems to be acceptable in some context, yet not in the 'greater' sphere of the chairman/manager/perception of the club one - some will say a dive is no where near as significant as sacking a decent bloke, but there are 75 million reasons why it could be if those 2 points keep us up and send someone else down - ultimately, in NCs eyes, he has made a necessary decision that is not very nice for what he believes is the greater good for the club. Many will not see it that way - yet where was the same level of sentiment and loyalty card when Lowe sacked Luggy? He had a better prem record than Adkins at the time?

We liked Nigel, he was decent and different and rightly we we liked him being our manager, not some brash egotistical personality that normally does the rounds - but a man of integrity, good humour and positive nature - a decent human being - and as always (and again quite rightly) we are naturally more defensive of decent human beings - thsoe we warm to etc, but it is hypocritical to some extent as we have not extended such emotion to all sacked employees in the past.

I believe a lot of the dislike for NC stems from the simple fact we are not in the know - we dont know who realy owns us, how much money we have, what the plan is etc... and as such think the worst and it drives fans nuts... 'its our club re have the right etc' falls on deaf ears and that irks.

Would the support for nigel be as strong as it is now if he took us down? Even if we went down fighting and injuries were a major factor, I dont believe it would be anywhere near as unified. That is the nature of football and those that deny that are perhaps not being as honest with themselves as they should be - Take Niges advice an look in the glass.

How do you know? Have you heard from them? Do you even know who owns us? All we've had is an brief interview from Cortese saying he is in charge of everything. It seems like he isn't accountable to anyone.

I don't think you've followed the thread properly. The point about his wages is in relation to Henry Winter comparing NC to Abramovich - a key and clear difference being one has put a load of his personal fortune into the club, another has taken a personal fortune out. The owners might well be entirely happy, that doesn't make the difference a clear and relevant point.

This is your line of argument now - Adkins deserves the same level of appreciation as Paul Sturrock? Or even better, "all sacked employees". Mick Wadsworth, say.

Fuc k me.

I know you feel the need to type and type and type and type but maybe you should slow down and reflect on the fact that pretty much every single one of the hundreds of poorly written sentences you contribute on here are absolute guff.
