The fans do big time. Warnock leaves in May to retire.. probably couldnt leave too soon according to some so there is pressure on the new board to get someone in who can the club promoted...and beyond.

I think he would do well.

Harsh on Warnock given he's only just been given a decent amount of funds, but he would do wonders there, I am fairly certain.

Their fans are losing patience with him quickly.

Yeah, agree that he would fit really well there. Would change the image and style of play, and lots of positivity.

I'm sure he won't be out of work for very long at all. It wouldn't surprise me if a few chairman of championship and League 1 clubs aren't seriously considering releasing the current manager and bringing Nigel Adkins in. His record in getting clubs promoted is without equal.

League 1?? I'm sure he wouldn't consider most of the clubs in the championship. His record his amazing. Leeds is just about good enough but could do better I'm sure.

To be honest I don't think Nigel should rush into anything. Wait until the end of the season and see the lye of the land. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a job at a club in the prem rather than one lower down.

So much for a premier league job?

Not sure many think he would get a Prem job. Leeds or similar would be about right.

He has some history with Wigan I think, that's the only Prem club I can see him getting. But Roberto is going nowhere soon.

Massive club in dire need of someone like Adkins to take them back to the top flight. Colin is on borrowed time after the Barnsley game.

Leeds in the 70's was my boyhood 2nd team. Loved the likes of Brenner etc. It would be fitting to see Adkins there and would allow me to once again take an interest in their fortunes. Not only that I would like to see Warnock shafted - can't stand the ***t!

I expect that somewhere, a manager will be sacked because of results or falling out with the Chairman or something and our Nige will get a job and he'll do well. Then a different manager will be out of work and we can all feel a little bit better about the whole situation.

Give him 3 years at Leeds and they'd be in the top flight playing decent football, I'm sure of that. But it's a tough job because their approach has gone so far the other way. Depends if they have any money. Doesn't need big money, just some. Far better option that Blackpool.

I think they do now dont they?? Their fans that i know up there seem to think so anyway.

Just like us. Some money, and a shed load of forward momentum. Gutting.

Not quite like us, they don't have the 4 or 5 top quality players that NA inherited at Saints. It's those that make the difference.

Lambert, Lallana, Schneiderlin, Fonte, Puncheon, here when he came, still here when he's gone and not one of them has let us down at the highest level. Players like these would cost you a collective 25/30 million at today's prices. Some of NA's signings were absolute crap, fortunately for him he had the base gifted to him.

What utter rubbish WC.............in case you had forgotten, when Adkins took over we were nearly bottom of league 1 and looking terrible. You could argue that Adkins got the best out of the players that you have mentioned that Pardew did not.

Equally whilst some of Adkins signings weren't all that, some were: Yoshida, Clyne, Rodriguez and others that did a very good job to get us out of the lower divisions.

Wherever Adkins ends up I am sure he will be a big success - just hope NC's decision does not condemn us to relegation.

come on..that was never a bottom league 1 team..never ever in a million years..

he did a great job but lets not pretend that getting 2nd in the NPC was not the utter bare minimum that season

Would be a great move for him, better than some tin pot outfit like Blackpool.

personally...i would wait till the summer if I were him....if leicester dont go up..pearson may well be out...

Good luck to him if he goes there, a proper club, with proper support and should they get back to the premiership probably a much more realistic chance of pushing on to the top 8 where they should be.

For sure. I wouldn't know exactly which transfers to attribute to him anyway. His gift so far has probably got more to do with coaching and galvanising a club. As said above it is by no means an easy task, and he would need some luck, as will MP over the next couple of months. I'm sure we can all agree on hoping he gets it.

Leeds is the right place for him, big loyal fanbase and theyll have a new chairman then so he'd be their clear choice. He deserves a top top job!

not a problem if he's going to leave in May anyway, and as long as they don't get relegated, ánd they'll save their budget for their new manager - whoever that is.

To those promoting the idea of Adkins going to Leeds, do you dislike him so much that you are suggesting he swops Cortese for Ken Bates?

Err..Bates is on the way out. He won't be appointing the next manager.
