But of course he must be awful because people haven't heard of him and he can't speak English.

Hardly seen anyone say he will be rubbish, just annoyed at the way someone who was doing pefectly fine has been treated.

Who has said he must be awful because they haven't heard from him.

Nobody, I said heard of him not from him - the latter would be weird. Plenty, in various threads, mostly calling him Pinocchio.

Really? "No track record, can't speak the language, no premier league experience etc etc", suggest you read some of the numerous threads.

It was obviously a typo. But good try at covering up the fact you're making stuff up.

Well it is a gamble isn't it. Aside from calling him names, it is fair enough to point out some of the issues. You will be vindicated soon enough anyway if it comes off. I'd say most fans will be "don't know" and keeping there fingers crossed.

All that is true though, but I can't see anyone saying he would be rubbish, you've gone in with both feet and been proven wrong i'm afraid.

For sure its a gamble, I'm not saying otherwise or that its not acceptable to express concern, but there are people who have based their judgement on the language barrier i.e. "he speaks no English" when he clearly speaks some or "he was sacked by Espanyol" when he wasn't. There are a number of myths being perpetuated.

What is true?

That he has no track record, speaks little English and no Premier League experience.

He does have a track record if you bother to do the research and my point about the language was that there was a myth that he can't speak it - that is not true if you listen to the press conference, subsequent interview and footage from today - it is evident he has the basics and can understand what is being said. The Premier League experience I accept but that is not rationale to write him off.

I haven't written him off. please find a post where I have.

I am behind the guy just massively against the decision that put him in place by our chairman.

I didn't say you did, but others have.

Seems his track record is not too dissimilar to WGS' at Saints. Didn't win anything, but got us to eighth and even fourth midway through his last season, punching above our weight. WGS did get us to a cup final as well.

I remain to be convinced that he'll do better than NA could with the same resources.

Oh and Hugh ("Its really great that premier league clubs are giving the opportunity to young progressive managers") - I thought that was what Nigel Adkins was?

As i have posted elsewhere, El nuevo gerente no tiene ninguna posibilidad en el vestuario. La comunicación es muy importante. Cortese ha hecho una enorme polla.

Sexual harrassment huh? No sure this is quite what you meant to say.....then again maybe it is......

Sure, thus your avatar - nobody takes you seriously to be honest so I can't believe I'm even replying to that.

You have to say the avatar is quite funny though.

To be fair to the forum, I think most of the clued up posters on here today, on all sides of the debate, have just reserved judgement on our short term future, which is the only sensible position.
