Soggy Bottom Posted 19 January, 2013 Share Posted 19 January, 2013 I was just getting my head round the reasons for his sacking, now I'm back to the way I felt yesterday, I just don't understand.

Big_Bald_Si Posted 19 January, 2013 Share Posted 19 January, 2013 Well, excellent apart from the pictures of Cortese and the guy that's replaced him. lol
Wes Tender Posted 19 January, 2013 Share Posted 19 January, 2013 An excellent tribute to the man. But apart from posting my appreciation on this forum, the only concrete way to show my respect and gratitude towards Nigel is to chant his name throughout the match on Monday, so that is what I will be doing. Olallana Posted 19 January, 2013 Share Posted 19 January, 2013 (edited) Great video. But some words if we all truely want to honour Adkins, is there any better way than live by his words and actions? Shouldn´t we all try to be the class-act that he is? I firmly believe that he wouldn´t like that fans put ridicolous nicknames for Pocchetino, he would absolutely hate that, because of the class guy he is. He would definitely tell us to get behind the new manager, players and the club. He said it best himself... Keep smiling Have faith & belief that you´re doing the right thing. Keep looking to improve Shouldn´t be that hard for anyone that truely want to honour this great guy, is it? Edited 19 January, 2013 by Olallana wrote we when it should say he.... Keep looking to improve Shouldn´t be that hard for anyone that truely want to honour this great guy, is it? You've got it right mate. My FB comment from yesterday evening, even in my confusion and anger I knew what we should do. I have been trying to fathom this whole Nigel Adkins saga out. The whys and wheres cannot be fathomed. Some fans saw it coming, most probably didn't but many are surprised at the turn of events. Then I saw the note he left at Staplewood for the players and it came to me. Nigel wouldn't want us destabilising his sterling work at the club. No protests, no booing the chairman (bear with me here) but he'd rather us follow his example. To reflect, find a positive and then draw a blue line under the episode. The positive? We are two divisions better than when Nigel arrived, we are more stable and we have the foundations from which Pochettino should be able to take us further. By all means chant his name but then let us Saints fans do what we do best and get behind the team and drive them forward. On Monday let's Win It For Nigel.
