Players Revolt? / First training session

Really. Careful editing just of smiling faces and snowball fights backed with over jolly music. The Soviets would have been proud of that.

I dunno. Stalin would probably be most unimpressed by the lack of wholesale murder, and would probably have "purged" the management before promptly airbrushing them out of history. At best, Adkins and Crosby would be performing hard labour in permanent Siberian exile.

Is this what's happened here?

Is this puff piece just a smokescreen to hide a modern day Katyn massacre, or do you think you might be overreacting? :)

Pretty pathetic and a bit disrespectful towards Nigel if you ask me.

There was never any doubt in my mind that the players will just get on with it. They are used to changes, managers coaches other players leave all the time. They will still want to prove themselves to the new guy as they will want to play in the Premiership. For every player sad that Nigel's gone, there will be one pleased that he may now get a chance or be used in the proper position.

You don't get 20 Argie caps and play in la liga by being a mug, so he'll know a bit about the game, how to run a session, and also have a decent touch if involved. Early doors, they'll be respectful and enthusiastic, it's whether he can maintain and grow that ,which will make or break his career here.

Steady on Pap....people will start to suspect you're part of the propaganda machine....

Imagine my pleasant surprise when I discovered we still had the same team.

Judging from some of the comments so far, I'm rather surprised that Cortese's equivalent of the NKVD didn't swoop in and "neutralise" players that might not be politically reliable. So it's lovely to seem them alive and kicking today, despite NA's departure.

I'm sure if the club hadn't published any video or photos of the training sessions some people would be accusing them of concealing how upset the players were...

Just like if Nige had been canned without a replacement, they'd be moaning about that too.

Don't get carried away pap, that video could be a fake using look-alikes and digital technology! :)

Kelvin did put in an accurate throw. Perhaps that was Andy Serkis' motion captured performance. The real players are locked in a series of changing room lockers across municipal aqua centres in the south.

I would have been more convinced it was a fake if Kelvin hadn’t put the snow ball straight down the middle

The decision has been made, the club won't a be apologetic about it and Pochettino needs a fair crack from the start. We all want him to be successive even if we don't agree with the circumstances of his appointment.

I agree he needs to get a fair crack of the whip. However, just as I had a really good feeling about Adkins appointment I have my reservations about this one. I hope I'm wrong but at this stage of the season he has no room for error and there are as many things stacked against him then for him. IMO of course

Well someone has made Shaw delete his "tweet" from yesterday. Make of that what you will.

Not sure if you saw, but some fans wrote Adkins in the snow outside SMS - almost within minutes they were ushered away, and a team of people came out of St Mary's to brush it away.

Incredibly petty and sad.

We can expect to see plenty more propganda over the coming weeks. On the UI site yesterday there were 2 or 3 brand new posters, all of which were going on about what a great decision it was to sack Adkins and how the new man will move the club forward. It was embarassingly obvious. The funniest post was one claiming they were 100% confident we'd stay up now the change had been made and we'd probably finish 14th or 15th. So right about where we are now then.
