wild-saint Posted 19 January, 2013 Share Posted 19 January, 2013 When pardew was sacked there was a similar amount if disgust about the decision(well maybe not as much). we then went on a really poor run until our nige was appointed. in hindsight it would have been a better footballing decision to have nige lined up as we wouldnt have had that period of vacuum costing us a playoff place. This time the same decision has been made but arguably the mistake has been learnt from and someone was lined up to taking a running start. Assuming that the decision was made either way, would you prefer to have a 3/4 game period with no manager like before or have someone to come straight in? its a tough call imo
Colinjb Posted 19 January, 2013 Share Posted 19 January, 2013 Yes, a tough call. And Cortese would have been damned if he did/damned if he didn't. Appoint Pochettino straight away (as he did) and be called sneaky, sly, and guilty of stabbing our now ex manager in the back. Leave it a few games and be criticised for leaving us high and dry with no replacement. It really sucks trying to be dispassionate about this whole stinking business.
