Do you think we'll go down now?

I think we're as good as down. Not particularly because of the talent of the manager. But because of the current players situation, him acclimatising to English football, new players settling, and most of all the fans uproar about it all, creates a bad atmosphere and the last thing you need in a relegation battle is a fan/board split. We deserve to go down.

I think so. The way we've been playing lately and the results that we are starting to get will be hard to continue with a new manager in charge, especially one who doesn't speak english. Are any of NA's coaching staff still at the club or are they all done also? if the new guy has brought his own coaching staff in we are well and truly F**ked. It will take weeks for them to get to know the EPL game, the players and tactics to work. By that time we will probably be battling QPR and Reading again for survival.

The manager doesn't win games, the team do. The Manager picks the team (allegedly). Can't see how the new guy is going to do anything any different unless we get 2 or 3 top top players this window, and he isn't going to know the teams strengths like Adkins did, so I'd say the odds of us getting relegation would have shortened. Hope I'm wrong though, as in a perverse sort of way I love getting up in the middle of the night to watch my team play every week and that is only possible because we are Premier League!

No idea, personally I thought we had galvanised over the past few weeks, and honestly believed we were ok.

This new guy doesnt speak english, and Adkins was a massive favourite with the players.

It has the possibility that this could be disastrous. We very well could do better, we could well be ok, but it is definately a risk.

I get attempting to appoint a coach that is 'arguably' better than we have, but why not do it in the summer ? Why do it during an upturn in form ?

Someone on the radio made a good point in that pretty much every manager who has come to England and couldn't speak English was fired from that job within a year.

Communication is vital to anything and if you can't get your plans/points across then how are players going to understand?

I hope we can push on from here but I can't help thinking this will be the ultimate shot to the foot. When the season is said and done this will either be looked at as a great decision or one that un-did three years of going forward. If we do go down I think it is pretty certain pundits and media will remind the world every chance they get what a bad move it was.

If I had to bet my house on it I would say we will go down.

This new guy has to hit the ground running or we are relegated. He doesn't know the players, the league or even the language.

Teams only usually change managers at this stage of the season if they are desperate. He may be an inspired choice but my gut feeling says spectacular failure.

I do. The atmosphere is going to be toxic, and the players are going to be disillusioned surely. Cortese has taken a massive gamble completely needlessly. Admittedly I thought Nigel might be out of his depth earlier in the season, but he had turned it around, and I was wrong to doubt a manager who has achieved so much so quickly. If we turn out to be brilliant, well done Nicola, but I can't see that happening

The chances have increased. The players will have to adapt to new ideas and probably systems. That will take time. I fear we'll regress in the short term, beyond that who knows.

I think we'll become predictable. Gaston will play in the hole come rain or shine. No more 442 with CB' s at full back where height and muscle needed.

I think we're just as likely to go down as before.

We have the same group of players (+ Forren) as before, as long as the players work just as hard as before (can't see them not doing this personally), Pochettino doesn't do anything drastic like dropping Sir Rickie or playing a ridiculous formation then we should be just as unlikely/likely to stay up as before.

I hope not, but I ask myself are we in a better position now than yesterday? I'd have to say no.

It feels like the start of the season again the same tough run of fixtures, a new inexperienced manager at this level, no back room staff left for any continuity, my only hope is the team continue to perform & the new guy learns extremely quickly.
