Professor Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Anything that keeps us up will justify Adkins' sacking as there is no guarantee that we would have stayed up if he had remained. Over 40 points would confirm it because based on Adkin's record of 22 points from 22 games he was on course to reach 38 points for the season. That would have been 2 points above the relegation zone last year but would have meant relegation the previous season. A point per game is not good enough and 2 wins in the last 10 games probably sealed Adkins' fate. Not losing isn't good enough if all you do is get draws as 38 points from 38 games will usually mean you go down.
