The ossature of our side was here pre-Adkins, Lambert,Fonte,Lallana,Schneiderlin. It would take a whole lot of money to get 4 players of that quality into a NPC side already. To get us out of the NPC in 1 go we spent another what 10 million ? So to get a side equivant to our NPC side you'd need about 30 million £ on today's prices with some pretty big pay packets to match. Blackpool have a few good players but it's not the SFC side that finished the NPC last season.

Just a bigger club with potential to grow anyway, anyone giving him a few years won't regret it. Shame a big club would never take a chance on him, he'd get them playing great positive football. They'll be a lot of clubs looking at him realising they have a chance so could see more managers being moved on to make way. So harsh that Lambert and Rodgers end up at big clubs and Adkins IMO does a better job, playing better football and developing top players, yet gets sacked. What better job ? He has no credentials to obtain a PL post with any of today's better teams. Villa perhaps but that's no better than Blackpool with the players they have. He had a fantastic squad with us and didn't use it very well sometimes.

If we go down NA is probably the best man to get us back up, but it would be hard to find another RL to score 20plus goals. We need to stay up, and some of the bizarre team selections might have been costly
Turkish Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 he could do better than blackpool IMO. Leeds fans want Warnock out, he'd be great for them. i expect clubs like Wolves, Blackburn and Forest are wishing they'd hung on a few more weeks.
