He knew. It was a well know secret Cortese had been looking for replacements for a while. I said a few months back that he was verablly sacked a couple of times last year and that he's been under pressure for a long time.

 

Of course, this was dismissed, even today it was.

I believe Adkins is relieved he is no longer working for Cortese now and probably glad to get a chance with another big club.
