A way to contact the owners?

FFS. Have a word with yourself.

Do you really think the Liebherr family will care ? They have complete faith in NC to protect the family investment. End of.

Had a word with myself and myself told me that if Markus family knew that fans were growing tired of the way he throws his toys out the pram they might try and stop it.

After all they probably only care about the money. How much money will they make by alienating the fans?

Have you not got anything better to do?

I hate these type of replies...

For someone who pays thousands watching Saints home and away and has done for years I think I have earned the right to tell someone what I think.

People bending over and taking it without a whimper is the reason this country has gone to the dogs.

What is that going to do? The only thing that will happen is that you will possibly feel better as you have put your point of view across. That is all.

totally pointless, Cortese owns SFC to all intents and is Chairman of the Mali group. ML left him everything to run as he would.

Family probably got all or any cash, properties etc. Cortese entrusted with everything else.

Does anyone know a way to write to the owners?

The way I see it is they deserve some flak for allowing a guy to have a free reign on decisions.

They have kept quiet for too long imo.

I'm sure you were one of the posters singing the praises of Cortese non-stop not too long ago and now you want to write to the owners

The king is dead, long live the king. For those that think that by buying match tickets and attending matches you are investing in the club, you are very much mistaken. You have received the repayment for your "investment" in the entertainment you received. End of. I could choose to buy a ticket to Marwell for entertainment, but it doesn't get me the right to decide which breading program they should adopt. As a season ticket holder I have chosen to get my entertainment from football. The quicker we all calm down take a deep breath and move on the sooner we are going to start winning football matches under this manager. Someone once said "a house divided will not stand", now who was that?

Sent the following email to club, feel free to use it if you so wish :

To be passed on to the chairman of Southampton Football Club: Nicola Cortese

Dear Mr Cortese,

I would like to thank you on behalf of all Southampton fans across the UK and around the world for, not only horribly mistreating one of the nicest people in English football, but also alienating nearly every single supporter of Southampton Football Club around the globe.

Nigel Adkins managed to take a club that had been mistreated by previous owners with no self belief in it to a club that has, through a new found optimism, challenged the top clubs in Britain. Nigel Adkins changed the way the fans thought about the club. Before Adkins' appointment we were a club that never quite reached its potential; under Adkins no Southampton fan saw a limit to its potential and success. Nigel Adkins took a club in a very dark place and worked, something that can only be described as, a miracle.

I would like to add that the new manager will have our full support but we will never feel the same about you as a chairman or a man in the way that we did before the sacking of Nigel Adkins. The sacking of Nigel Adkins can only be described as a monstrous betrayal. I hope that this decision does not cost us our deserved place in the Premier League because under Mr. Adkins I, and 99% of other Saints fans, believed that we would have stayed up. Thank You for summing up everything that is wrong with football in this day and age.

Does anyone actually still think this was the wrong decision anyway?

Hard to say.

However I do still think Cortese acted like a douche in the way he treated Adkins. For me it isn't/wasn't about if the guy coming in was better it was about treating a guy who got us promoted twice with some respect.

Hard to say indeed, especially when you have absolutely no idea how Adkins was treated and even less idea why.

To be fair I don't think anyone on the forum thought he wasn't harsh on Adkins.

Correct. On the issue of the actual decision it would seem Cortese got it right and he pays himself a lot to make tough decisions and get them right, so kudos to him, even if not for the way it was handled (and nobody knows if it was handled behind the scenes as it was in public TBH).

Well it was reported that he found out he was sacked on TV.

That to me shows what kind of person Cortese is.

I don't think treating people like that means you will be successful. I have worked in business a long time and know it can be a brutal place. But the way he was sacked/treated was low.

As for contacting them I heard the only way to do that is by putting your letter in the fire place and it will magically reach them. It is the only way!

what is "reported" and what is true are often two completely different things.Adkins liked to play to the audience, a bit of a Thespian methinks, and Nicola can't be bothered with the press anyway.

I find it very interesting that people are convinced Pochettino is definitely an upgrade and was worth the change.

Adkins last 14 games in charge yielded 18 points

Pochettinos 14 games in charge yielded 17 points.

I dont really have that much of an opinion. I was happy with Adkins, Im happy with Pochettino so far. Still I dont understand why there is the narrative developing that Pochettino has turned us around, the points tally doesnt really support it.

"Kn0b off Timothy, we've got a f*ckton of cranes to sell"

More likely "Ms Liebherr is currently skiing in Gstaad and will give your query her closest attention upon her return"

Had a colleague once, when he came back from leave he trashed all his in-mail. Said if it was important they'd write again.

It's easy to be selective of which 14 game run under Adkins you use.

Try it again with Adkins' first 14 games in the Premier League compared to Pochettino's first 14 games in the Premier League.

you need to compare results against the same sides but weight them slightly on a home/away basis. Nigel beat Villa twice I think

and drew with Fulham twice as well.

so we'd have

Everton NA lost MP drew

Utd both lost

Wigan NA lost MP drew

Norwich NA drew MP drew

Citeh NA lost MP won

Liverpool NA lost MP won

Newcastle NA won MP lost

Chelsea NA drew MP won

QPR NA won MP lost

Reading both won

West Brom both lost

Swansea both drew

West Ham NA lost MP drew

Spurs both lost

so NA 11 points MP 17 ....
