Protests, booing, boycotts are Not going to Help us Move on

It won't be boycotts or Adkins chants that that get us relegated.

Do you really wnat Saints to end up like Chelski?

How long do you give Pochettino?

Well, I would have stuck with Adkins if we had got relegated and given him next season to get us promoted, so only fair I do the same for the new guy. As long as we don't go down with a whimper.

if we go down the route a lot of fans want then we will end up like..................

Blackburn

People need to get a grip, you support the WHOLE club not just the manager.

We're all shocked, all sad to see him go, we all want him to stay on.

However there is nothing we can do, Cortese won't change his mind, Adkins won't come back.

Back the team FFS.

I'm as gutted and as shocked as everyone but do we seriously want that sour Lowe esque vibe back. No. Some people on here need to get a grip.

Take note of Chelsea, what they do is embarrassing.

Sensible post as usual from you Crowds, I'm gutted but I can't bring myself to barrack the new guy. Hopefully we have a venting of frustration on Monday as we had after Pardew's sacking at the Rochdale game (but with a far better result!) and then we have a continuation of progress. I'm probably being stupidly over-optimistic but it's either that or the club nosedives and we end up back where we were pre-Markus.

If anyone does any moronic protests or chants against the guy new/NC during the game then yes... we will be exactly like Chelsea.

OR..... we could get behind the new manager as that'll help him and the team. Crazy idea I know, but just throwing it out there.

So we should sit on our hands, have no opinions at all about out football club, and smile and nod while NC does whatever he likes without ever actually explaining? Sorry but if that's how things are I'd rather go watch eastliegh down the road!

Yes. You should sit on your hands and have no opinion about the club. That's what I said. :)

******, I hope we go down it's what we deserve. Would much rather the fans stood together and made the board and owners aware that this is not the behaviour expected of this club and we lost every game for the rest of the season than we happy clapped this nobody who's been parachuted in to the rightful place of a decent an honourable man.

Cortese out, I'd rather we were back in admin.

take it out on cortese yes, take it out on the new manager and the team then im afraid youre being a hypocrite - those of us who loved nige for his positive atitude can only now emulate that and try to move on as a team including the new manager. Sad sad day but see where this takes us ....

Interesting. I've learnt 2 things today :

1. That everyone apparently has their own personal happy-clap threshold.

2. When an event breaches a happy-clap threshold of an individual (as has happened so often today), the aggression, negativity and annoyingness of those individuals, and those traditionally viewed as negative, are indistinguishable

Are you nuts, together as one only when it's something you want to be part of and I have no desire to be part of this crap.

It was your sentiment but if you really want to talk about semantics over our football club by all means ...

My sentiment was quite clear. Get behind the new manager. Anything else will be foolish.

If you're incapable of behaving like a civilised adult then please keep your protests indoors and away from the general public so nobody else can see you.

Wow okay talking down to me becuase I disagree, real adult yourself, nothing uncivilised with protesting.

I disagree it would be foolish. The stadium is the only place to make such views known unless you have a genuine plan b? I think three points agaisnt Everton is less important then the club.

Sorry to talk down to you. I guess for me mate it's just a complete disbelief that people would actually consider protesting/shouting abuse/getting genuinely angry because the football club which they support has changed their manager.

I love football, but that sort of reaction just makes me realise how insane football fans are.

My opinion the new guy should be greeted with either polite applause or silence, no boo's. Then a rousing rendition of Nigel Adkins red & white army, then fully support the team throughout the rest of the game. Vent your anger towards Cortese if you so desire before kick off & at the end. I don't see a problem having a dig at the Don & showing support for Adkins throughout, but support the team as well.

I'm not quite sure you 'get' football. The theatre sounds like it would be more suited to you.

Some Fan. What an idiot. Would rather be proved right than Saints to do well. Too many of your type around.

Emotions ar ehigh on this one. Fair to say we disagree on a few things but I wont go overboard, hardly you making the decisions ;) Its not a manager going im unhappy about but the hows and whys of it all. Adkins out at the end of the year, did not perform/cortese wanted to go another way ok. They could've had a bit of dignity about it. Im proud of my club and want to continue that way, today is a sad today ...

Clubs acting in this way is just another step for me and a lot of my mates towards feeling we've had enough of football and the way it's run these days. Hopefully Cortese can fill the seats we've been in for the last 30 years with enough Japanese tourists to keep his push for Champions League football alive.

Quite right. It's far more important to support a Premier League club than one that has heart and class and treats people with respect.
