Gambol2K9 Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Cortese needs to know how ****ed off the fans are with this disgraceful decision. Our relegation rivals will be delighted. I think that a boycott would send more of a message than 90 minutes of chanting Adkins name. I feel sick to my stomach.
Didcot Saint Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Correct. Either that or a mass walk out just as he takes he seat. W.....r

To force out Cortese and ultimately the Liebherrs? As angry as we may be, I can't see a boycott being anything other than counter-productive

Born In The 80s Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 I am going to go and abuse Cortese for 90 minutes (as well as support Nigel Adkins). After that, i'm done for the season.
Griffo Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 A boycott won't have any affect. It won't get our voices heard. Better off going to the game/ground and letting Cortese know what we think.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion but a lot of what I'm reading today strikes me as sentimental over reaction. We had the same when Pardew got the chop. benjii Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 What a load of hysterical whinging. I will be there supporting the team as usual and hoping we can press on next season. If you're that ****ed off then send a letter/email whatever but don't feck things up for those of us who want the team to do well. Oh, and by the way, you will not be boycotting for long if the new guy turns out to be a managerial genius. Fact.
alpine_saint Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 I empathise with the sentiment, but its ultimately wrong. Cortese has been a bellend, but still he is doing what he thinks is right to bring success to SFC. He should now stand or fall by his decision. In the meantime, if you dont want SFC to fall into rack and ruin, mediocrity and insolvence, you still have to get behind the team, FFS.

No-one knows yet whether this decision is the right one. It's not popular with the fans and NC will have to answer to the Liebherrs if it goes wrong, but until that time as fans we've got to continue supporting the team. Read on another thread the theory that perhaps Adkins wasn't an attractive manager when it came to signing some of the bigger name players that we are after and that NC saw that as a stumbling block to his ability to bring better players to the club. Winger Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Of all the thousands of posts today, this is the most sensible. I know people like Adkins but we saw the same overreaction when Pardew went. Well said Alpine
