Roger Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 It's on sky so usually sky games go ahead. We won't want to lose the sky money neither will everton. No snow after this pm. On for me!
Saint Garrett Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 Don't think we'll have a problem keeping it on tbh.
Stepgar Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 I think there is still plenty to come according to bbc weather. (Last night mind) but try have already laid a cover over the pitch so game on.
Toadhall Saint Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 Depends on the surrounding areas of the stadium to - not just the pitch.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 More likely than it being on Tuesday.
CB Fry Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 It's on sky so usually sky games go ahead. We won't want to lose the sky money neither will everton. No snow after this pm. On for me! Sky won't have a say. If it gets called off it will be about roads and pavements, and the Police/SCC/whoever won't be swayed by the Murdoch empire. The fact it is a night game makes it dicier. But its days away amyway.
pingwing Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 It'll be fine, they have covers over the pitch today and by monday it is supposed to be warmer and raining in Southampton. Snow and ice is only supposed to remain further north so driving down for me will be a pain.

I still don't believe that last season's away game at Birmingham would have been played if it wasn't on Sky. No-way were they safe conditions.
Whitey Grandad Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 It'll be on, this is the Costa Tropicala compared to oop north.
Elias Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 I still don't believe that last season's away game at Birmingham would have been played if it wasn't on Sky. No-way were they safe conditions. Now that was a cracking away day. **** game of course.

That is a very good point, and that was a ridiculous situation. I guess Brum being skint might have ramped up the pressure on them, and I guess the refs feel the pressure to keep it going once the match starts. If the game starts, you'd assume it will finish come what may.
Sour Mash Posted 18 January, 2013 Posted 18 January, 2013 Now that was a cracking away day. **** game of course. It was indeed, one of the better ones. Still plenty of snow, skidding all over the place etc walking up to the ground. Could barely see the other end of the pitch. Think Monday should be on. Everton might struggle with their plans to travel down though.
