Ashley Grute Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Hodgson and Pearce were at the Chelsea game and were whacking off about Shaw all game.
hutch Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Inevitable really. Be interesting to see if Clyne plays as well.

Saint Charlie Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 He is absolute class. Really hope part of his commitment was to sign a long contract in the summer.

egg Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Inevitable after his recent performances. It wouldn't surprise me if he makes the full squad very soon.
raynesparksaint Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Good news as long as they don't pick up knocks. Both players crucial to our chances this season.
Saint Bones Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Well done young lad... Keep your feet on the ground and your heart at Southampton and you will truly be a fantastic player to come. ( although he looks pretty darn good now - enjoying those runs down the left )
Sheaf Saint Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Really pleased for him but I hope this doesn't mean that there will now be loads more speculation about his future. The stream I was watching the Chelsea game on the other night, whenever the commentators mentioned him they were referring to him solely in the sense of being a prospective replacement for Ashley Cole at Chelsea. Made me cringe.
Badger Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Really pleased for him but I hope this doesn't mean that there will now be loads more speculation about his future. The stream I was watching the Chelsea game on the other night, whenever the commentators mentioned him they were referring to him solely in the sense of being a prospective replacement for Ashley Cole at Chelsea. Made me cringe. Think we had better get used to that though. Pleased for Shaw, but also concerned as to how playing for England gives chance for their heads and minds to be turned. Comments from either Woy , or Pearce, or the media to the effect of 'needs to play Champions League..' blah blah would not be helpful.
CaneNero Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 Clyne (absolute steal for the price we got him) and Shaw have serious futures for England.
JRM Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 the U21 game v Sweden in a couple of weeks is due to be played at Walsall wonder what their pitch is like. wouldn't surprise me if it was off due to a frozen pitch with the weather we've got forecast for the next few weeks . alpine_saint Posted 18 January, 2013 Share Posted 18 January, 2013 I wonder what is going through his head this afternoon ? Still 13 days left in the window. Wouldnt surprise me if he is no longer a Saints player when the window shuts.
