Or he might have been talked to regarding a player he knows for references or he could be coming in to coach a specific player etc etc etc. If there's ANY truth in it, that's my guess.

The one thing which has always been apparent has been the players willingness to play and work for Adkins. Even when we were really struggling Adkins never lost the players. Only this week Yoshida has come out and said what an influence Adkins is and how none of the players have felt low this season. To take all that away with 16 games to go for whatever would be a complete and utter disaster. Lets hope that the reports are wide of the mark on this

The players are more than happy with Nigel , so why would we want to change him. the red tops etc hate southampton , they do nopt like to see another team outside the top six who may just be about to challenge them . Plus we have stopped selling our best players to tthose who bid the most Oh isnt the mirror a northern paper , so they are probably miffed we have signed and retained some of our top players. I hope we can get a positive result against man u. i really want to wipe the smug grin of fergies face.

Anyway, as with all of these rumours about the club, I'll only believe them when they happen. It is pointless giving them any credence when so many times they have proved to be utterly groundless. Mind you, groundless is something that is far more appropriate to the Skates future prospects.

He knows Adkins is popular with the fans, rightly so, and sacking him, especially after showing such character on Wednesday, would send us fans bonkers. We would all be against Nicola and he might use this as an excuse to sell the club. Just making it up before anyone asks for a source. And for the record, sacking Nigel would be the worst decision this club has made in a very long time.
