forever a red and white Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Captains performance, he was bloody immense tonight!
Ed Rooney Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Captains performance, he was bloody immense tonight! This
Tom8558 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Very impressed with him tonight. Can see him becoming permanent captain if AL is out for a while
Saint Scott Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Completely agree! Especially towards the end so many vital interceptions. MOTM or Shaw who yet again looked so composed and a great assist for the equaliser.
Saint Garrett Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Was everywhere, he is awesome and seems to find another gear when we play the top sides !
Patrick Bateman Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 He was bloody amazing! Some of the tackles, interceptions, runs, passes - fantastic stuff!
saintchris23 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Jack Cork - possibly his best match in a Saints shirt.
S-Clarke Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 He was unbelievable tonight. Some of his touches to take it away from 2 or 3 Chelsea players was amazing. A real, top, top class player. Although we always knew he was PL class, even in L1. He's grown with us, and he's going to be one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe before long.
Lazlo78 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I rarely notice him (not because he's bad, but because I find it really difficult to follow the DM in detail when just watching a game) but today I really did notice how fantastic he is. Chaplow came on and battled away but you could really see the difference in class between Chappers and Morgan. One slight criticism: twice he let the ball bounce before trying to clear it and both times he lost the ball in dangerous positions. Apart from that a perfect game from a rather complete midfielder. Hooray!
ladysaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Morgan is such a terrific player so pleased he was Captain tonight, such an under rated player.
Stu Man Do Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 The number of times he was there to clear once the ball dropped in our area was amazing. Brilliant distribution again and its noticeable how intelligent he is at picking which tackle to go for at the end of the game there. Well done Capt Morgan ... rums all round!(Because someone had to)
CanadaSaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I have no idea how much ground he covers in a game but I'd bet it's more than two other players combined (except Corky and one or two others).
JoeShmoe Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I wouldn't be at all surprised if the big clubs start sniffing around Morgan in the summer
Pecho Lobo Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Yes, he must wonder what it is that he has to do to get a song in his name compared to the adoration that Gaston gets from the crowd. I'm a fan of both but Morgan has contributed far more to this campaign than Gaston so far. A quality player. I thought that Fergie might show an interest in Morgan after the FA Cup match two years ago against United when he ran the show.
Monk Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Added another dimension to his game with his movement, on and off the ball. Looks like he's gained half a yard when sprinting too. As for Shaw, wow.
forever a red and white Posted 16 January, 2013 Author Posted 16 January, 2013 He seems to move a bit quicker around the pitch I think, showed a good turn of pace on several occasions too.
Saint Charlie Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Anyone remember the thread that wally started saying he was our worst ever signing? Not suprised that guy doesnt post here anymore. Morgan is class.
musesaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Morgan is the next in line to Adam as a Living Deity! Have said that for years. Very underated and awesome.
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 He has always been terrific for us. I think he has a great attitude, a terrific work-rate and wonderful ability. Certainly, our unsung hero and I'm very glad he's getting the recognition. Natural captain and a midfield general IMO
ottery st mary Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Well done Morgan......Very good Captain performance.. Keep up the good work and more of the same please.. COYS:)
Smirking_Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 If he keeps it up, we will struggle to keep hold of him, how long does he have on his contract ?
westmidlandsaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Agreed thought Morgan was awesome tonight, I remember talking to some non supporting saints friends back when we were in League 1 and said then that I thought Morgan was more suited to Premier League football and I think he has looked head and shoulders above what he has the last few years
View From The Top Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Let's remember how many co.cks have slagged him down over the last 3/4 years, saying how sh.it he is. Anyone with any knowledge of football could see he was class from the start.
ottery st mary Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 He may have had the class as you saw.......but much better suited to Premier football ...as many remarked on at the Div 1 days.... I have seen a vast improvement in his game and believe even more to come... In the early days played many shiiiite games... Nowadays plays many brilliant games.... Premier class shining through.
Kingsland Red Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I still have no idea how the club managed to sign him when he joined from Strasbourg during those Dark Dutch days, but he's been my favourite player since and as others have stated, he has been class even in League 1 when he regularly got clattered. Class act, must be due some senior French games soon.
Noodles34 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Remember him in the lower leagues, really struggled at first, though you could always see his class was there. I think he will look back at those years and admit he learned so much about our game and how it has helped him develop. Glad that he keeps under the radar really, we can keep him for a bit longer.

S-Clarke Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Arsenal paid for him That was proven to be absolute tosh, about....4 years ago.
Noodles34 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 That was proven to be absolute tosh, about....4 years ago. It was part of the Walcott renegotiation package, they had first refusal for a couple of years, lucky for us that they lost focus on him as we spiralled downwards.
Saint Scott Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Ed Chamberlin @skysports_ed Just leaving Chelsea. Great point for Saints. Morgan Schneiderlin - outstanding Hopefully a good review of his performance on Monday night
LaptopSaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Loved him in L1. Love him now. Wenger will bid in the summer. Hope we have the balls to say do one.
St Chalet Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 If he keeps it up, we will struggle to keep hold of him, how long does he have on his contract ? Summer 2014 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/team/player-profile/?playerid=362816&tcmuri=41451
