Saint Scott Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Much deserved! Excellent display from the lads. To come back from 2-0 at HT at Stamford Bridge does not happen all that often. Forren will be pleased with what he saw tonight.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 COYR!!! And Forren was at the game too...
Zlavik Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Adkins saved Lambert and Ramirez so they could give 110% and it paid of! ****ING LOVE IT!!!!!
opthomps Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Worth staying up late to watch that. Great goal to equalise.
trousers Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 "Adkins tactically inept" Still crying here!
dinger Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Great performance, great result. Well done Saints.
Edmonton Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 As someone who moaned and *****ed for 55 minutes or so of that match. I will eat humble pie and say what a comeback!! and what a difference having your best players on the pitch makes..
andysstuff Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Love to know what Adkins said at Half Time - that's some turn around for anyone against Chelsea after their recent run of results.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Totally unexpected,but very welcome.Well done Saints.
Sheaf Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Biggest shock of the night - Chaplow coming on and looking half decent against the European champions.
South City Si Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Up the f**king Saints! Wrote that off, especially after the first half, but what a come back in the second! Shaw is amazing and Puncheon needs that contract!!!
Tom8558 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 A point in the bag that could be the difference between relegation and not. So happy about this. Forren for £3.5million, Torres for £50million
northam soul Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Excellent second half. As i said earlier its not about our defence its about a better quality going forward. Well done to Adkins for making the changes and credit to the players.
Toadhall Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Great result - couldn't see us getting anything but was hoping for a point! Well done lads - bring on Everton!
Red Alert Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Cracking result. Got to give credit to Adkins, made no sense to start Lambo in a game we could easily has been smashed in, when he did come on he clearly wanted to prove a point.
The Kraken Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Absolutely superb turnaround. And given the team we put out, brilliant.
Gorgiesaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 What a result... listening to the radio hearing Buttner playing for Manyoo, such a shame if we'd signed him and Shaw hadn't got his opportunity. Funny how things turn out!
Thedelldays Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Brilliant result. Simply brilliant Well bloody done Nigel.... Simply well done. Injuries and rotation. What a result and after the hammering the other week I am quick to say when I think you have got it wrong. But we'll bloody done. Almost like a free point. Just love it
sussexsaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I want puncheon to sign a new contract, fab goal
GazzerMaBoy Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Un-*******-believable...!!! AWESOME result!
badgerx16 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 A bonus point which will give us confidence for other matches against the 'big' clubs. ( And LOL at Rooney - wearing gloves FFS and missing a penalty ).

Colinjb Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 And breathe.... Delighted, bloody delighted. Up yours bed wetters!
SaintAmongSkates Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Perfect. Much rather a point from The Bridge than a good result in the Cup. Onward & Upward.
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Fing Brilliant Saints!!!!! Whole team gave 100% 2nd half Jrod ran em ragged 1st half Lambert bullied them 2nd
T.REX Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Beautiful! If Forren is the player we hope he is, we could have the makings of a very good team here.
VectisSaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Guess we won't be hearing from Alpine now, unless its to moan that we dropped 2 points.
jamesfp1 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 All three subs absolutely ****ing magnificent!
saint lard Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Get in Southampton...well deserved point.feels more like 3 points Well done Nigel Adkins....now do some decent work in the transfer window so we can build and push on.
Ohio Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Fans were terrific too....And saints.....and my dog......
S-Clarke Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 As much as people were going OTT at HT, I don't think we played badly in that half. I generally thought it was a really disciplined performance, good retention of the ball - albeit a little lacking in the final third thrust. The way we played it in the 2nd half was perfect though. Chelsea were naive and they thought it was won, but we played a little higher up with a bit more purpose - our full backs pushed on to great effect, and we got our rewards. It's a truly amazing result, in amazing circumstances. At HT this should be over, we've got a point, we're now 3 clear + GD from the bottom 3. What a wonderful position to be in. I will continue to stand by my opinion that the 2nd half of this season will be a lot of fun. We're a very accomplished premier league team now.
Pecho Lobo Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Puncheon's finish reminiscent of Le Tiss at his best. Deserves a contract for that alone.
macca155 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 That's a brilliant result - a point we didn't expect - some self respect back where it really matters - a vital point above Newcastle with a better goal difference, they'll start to sweat now - 8 points above QPR, 6 above reading, and a vital 3 above Aston Villa Going to be a tough few weeks but we're slowly creeping up the table
Barry Sanchez Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Proud so proud, my prediction so wrong again and so happy for it to be, that 2nd half performance was brilliant, lucky a tad but we deserved that kuch, Ramirez was excellent for the 2nd goal and what a strike by puncheon.
