Saint Martini Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Good to see Schneiderlin being captain, Lowe perhaps didn't do a lot right but signing him was inspired.
Saint Scott Posted 16 January, 2013 Author Posted 16 January, 2013 Southampton FC @officialsaints 1: Southampton get us underway at Stamford Bridge. #saintsfc
Saint_clark Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Good to see Schneiderlin being captain, Lowe perhaps didn't do a lot right but signing him was inspired. We actually have Georges Prost to thank for that one.
Ohio Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Good first 2 mins. Blow the whistle now please!
Lazlo78 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 what is he meant to do...he has just seen two teams park the bus and win at chelsea... Makes perfect sense to try something different than being a distant second to Chelsea in every department. Our 4-2-3-1 will probably look like a 4-5-1 today and Rodriguez will do a lot of desperate running... Key is how Guly and Punch will cope with protecting Clyne and Shaw without getting sucked into the defensive line...
Saint Scott Posted 16 January, 2013 Author Posted 16 January, 2013 Southampton FC @officialsaints 4: Confident start by Southampton as the side string a number of good passes together inside the Chelsea half. #saintsfc Southampton FC @officialsaints 5: First shot of the evening goes Chelsea's way as a counter-attack ends with Oscar side-footing well wide. #saintsfc
Thedelldays Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 who is the co commentator...? gale..? cannot stand him
Ohio Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 tater says Shaw is like Bale....he's getting noticed. Shhhhh
Jonnyboy Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Wow, those first four minutes was lovely from Saints, then Chelsea get the shot.
Avenue Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Like the lineup makes sense with 5 across the middle attempting to keep it tight with JRod staying active upfront. Reckon we'll see lambert and gaston come on for Davis and JRod with 15 to go if we're still in it. Up the saints!!

bridge too far Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Is it just me? Site seems horribly slow tonight #unusual
Ohio Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Still only 12 mins in? It's gonna be a long game if it stays 0-0
Lazlo78 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Well shielded from Jos. I'd assume he needs a few good actions to build up confidence - please let him have a good game...
trousers Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 good start by us. A bit like the FA Cup game ....
Saint_clark Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Well shielded from Jos. I'd assume he needs a few good actions to build up confidence - please let him have a good game... He certainly couldn't get any worse after the start to the season he had.
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Like the lineup makes sense with 5 across the middle attempting to keep it tight with JRod staying active upfront. Reckon we'll see lambert and gaston come on for Davis and JRod with 15 to go if we're still in it. Up the saints!! Nice to have some quality to come off the bench for a change
Colinjb Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 So far, ok. Just waiting for Chelsea to hit full stride.
John Boy Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Well shielded from Jos. I'd assume he needs a few good actions to build up confidence - please let him have a good game... I thought he had a sound game at Stoke, almost like he had never been out. If he has anything about him he must be gagging to get back in especially now we have Forren on his shoulder.
Saints Fan Dan Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Damn, I was hoping we would score while Chelsea fans were doing their pathetic Di Matteo song and applause.
hypochondriac Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 99 percent we will lose. It's the 1 percent that keeps me interested though and anything here would be amazing.
Thedelldays Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 what very terrible back pass there to boruc....
Lazlo78 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I thought he had a sound game at Stoke, almost like he had never been out. If he has anything about him he must be gagging to get back in especially now we have Forren on his shoulder. True. It may also well be that these players are mentally stronger than we think, and that Jos is confident in his own abilites regardless of the unfortunate start to the season. It's not a given fact that he is a bag of nerves
St Chalet Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 At risk of cursing us, we look well organised.
Ohio Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 My stream ain't that good. Anyone got a good one?
Colinjb Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 is the game being played in a library ? You have a choice of ten at the top here. This is link '2' http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/163605/2/watch-chelsea-vs-southampton-fc.html
Ohio Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Jos looks a little slimmer/fitter? He wants to get into one of them skinny Chelski shirts.
Dr Who? Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I put a bet on Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U, then see the Arsenal line up......do they never want to win a trophy again?
Colinjb Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Bugger. Great finish Demba Ba. Didn't deal with their play around the box.
BotleySaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Just gotta concentrate on keeping the score down I think.
BadgerBadger Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 man alive it's quiet there even after they just scored
Edmonton Saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Some shocking defending there. Architects of our downfall once more..
Dr Who? Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Ba, that is it, we go behind we defo do not win away, and only once at home. So important to get the first goal.
Lazlo78 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 We didn't take our chances of clearing properly and that was an excellent finish. Think it took a deflection off Yoshida which would excuse Boruc. Ba is really not good to us these days
