Gemmel Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 Nabil Hassan @NabilHassan79 "You're going down with the Scummers", chant the #afcb fans to their Wigan counterparts. It's still 1-0 here as the temperature plummets. Still not sure if I find it funny or annoying they call us scummers
Crab Lungs Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I don't need to get out my "Dear Bucket Rattlers" rant again to prove just how much I pity/loathe them. Delusional, bitter weirdos that constantly pull on the coat tails of Pompey saying "Did ya hear that? We called them scummahs too!"
Appy Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 Nothing club with no rivals. Similar to Reading.
Turkish Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 Pompey play down there on the 9th Feb. it's going to be so cute seeing them all holding hands and singing 'stand up if you hate the scum' together, they'll probably give each other a round of applause as well.
trousers Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 It's what is known in the trade as a back-handed compliment
Gemmel Posted 15 January, 2013 Author Posted 15 January, 2013 Everything about them screams tin pot. With the exception of the drunken Chairman rant on the pitch. Pure quality. Would love to see Cortese offer the Northam out
latter day saint Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 ahh how sweet of them, still crying out for attention while in our shadow #SouthCoastisOurs
supergoose Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 A small and insignificant club. It's a laugh to think they consider us to be rivals.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I don't need to get out my "Dear Bucket Rattlers" rant again to prove just how much I pity/loathe them. Please do!!!!
Colinjb Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I'm not rising to their jibes. I love seeing Bournemouth do well, they are like a second team to me and I wish them luck. Truly. I know how they love that.
Saint Charlie Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 My second club, like them, want them to do well because they will never rival us.
Dig Dig Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 My second club, like them, want them to do well because they will never rival us. I thought Metalist Kharkiv were your second team?
latter day saint Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 am i correct in thinking they have gone back to just the 3 stands again?
Saint Charlie Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I thought Metalist Kharkiv were your second team? I have two. Metalist above AfCB. I support Saints 80%, Metalist 14%, AFCB 4% and England 2%.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 My second club, like them, want them to do well because they will never rival us. likewise
niceandfriendly Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I like Bournemouth, no idea why they have a problem with us. Very strange fans they have.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 The last time I heard of them singing "you're going down with the scummers", they were beating Palace in a preseason friendly. That season, last season, we got promoted from the Championship. Bodes well for us this year then...
Turkish Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I like Bournemouth, no idea why they have a problem with us. Very strange fans they have. When we were at the Dell I remember a lot of Saints fans used to cheer their score if they had won.
ericb Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 When we were at the Dell I remember a lot of Saints fans used to cheer their score if they had won. Yup i remember that too, and always have a look out for their results. Can't go as far as saying they're my second team but it's nice to see them do well.
Crab Lungs Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 Bless 'em. I guess they won't be getting any of the much needed cash from an extended cup run to fund their dubiously high signings wages and fees. Bucket rattling ETA in 6 months to 1 year.
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 Have a lot of ties with afcb Laugh it off when they call me a scummer "When you have finished your stadium maybe I'll listen lol" general reply
Crab Lungs Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool That sums it up I think. Utter gimps.
Thedelldays Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 Seeing as Pompey are such a massive club with huge tradition and with great stature in the game Were Bournemouth and their fans so excited about going to fratton??
Saint Garrett Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I always look for their results and hope they win, especially when they usually have 1 or 2 of our reserves. Hope they go up this season.
chocco boxo Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I was touched up by Ken Bailey their England mascot circa 70's when my Dad took me down there when we did not do the Saints away match. He was a right little fiddler, walked around with England waist coat on. I have now reported all this to Operation Yewtree and taken back all the sports kit I bought from Ted Macdougall Sports.

I have no opinion on this, just quoting it so it survives the inevitable deletion when granty sees it and has a libel-induced seizure. HTH.
Hockey_saint Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 (edited) I just heard some knobber of a fan of theirs on TV saying how they'll meet either us or Pompey next season which suggests to me that they are more deluded than our skate friends down the road....Shows a bit of a love-in with Pompey and some unfounded hatred of us. Morons. Edited 15 January, 2013 by Hockey_saint
LeBenali Posted 15 January, 2013 Posted 15 January, 2013 I went to the Bournemouth game on Saturday. The fans booed at the end when it was announced we had won 1-0. My Bmouth supporting mate was surprised when I told him we cheered when their half time score (1-0 up at Wigan) was read out in the Cup game the other week...
Dan Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Who is up for doing a bucket collection at the Everton game? Being south-coast buddies an all...
saintmatt Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 When we were at the Dell I remember a lot of Saints fans used to cheer their score if they had won. We cheered when we heard they were 1-0 up vs Wigan at half time in the Chelsea cup match iirc!
sandwichsaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 With the exception of the drunken Chairman rant on the pitch. Pure quality. Would love to see Cortese offer the Northam out I sat about 4 rows away from Cortese in the Northam corner when he was on his fabled scouting mission/fans-eye-view, can't remember which game it was but it might have been Yeovil on a Tuesday night. Didn't recognise him at all, he didn't offer anybody out though.
Danbert Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Isn't it about time we started thinking of Pompey as beneath us as well?
Fan The Flames Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Maybe they were singing about Reading. I see nothing wrong with their promotion 'party', just fans celebrating like we did.
melmacian_saint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I like Bournemouth. Their fans are just annoyed tgey couldn't beat us to promotion the only they challenged us for it in their history. It'll go away. Also I'm sure they're at least as many Saints fans down there as ST holders at dean court...
Barry Sanchez Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Little club latching onto something they dont have, they really are a bunch of little pensioners who should be pitied.
OldNick Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 they have a superb manager, and a nutty chairman.
Victor Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Little club latching onto something they dont have, they really are a bunch of little pensioners who should be pitied. Pensioners!? Clearly you know nothing whatsoever about them and their recent history. Schoolboys would be more appropriate.
The9 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I just heard some knobber of a fan of theirs on TV saying how they'll meet either us or Pompey next season which suggests to me that they are more deluded than our skate friends down the road....Shows a bit of a love-in with Pompey and some unfounded hatred of us. Morons. I'd be very surprised if they're playing either of us next season, it would need either us going down and them coming up, or the frankly hilariously unlikely prospect of Portsmouth not getting relegated. I think what he's trying to say is being rivals with Yeovil and/or Swindon isn't very interesting.
The9 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Maybe they were singing about Reading. I see nothing wrong with their promotion 'party', just fans celebrating like we did. Didn't they sing "que sera sera... we're going to St Mary's" in that clip then ?
The9 Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Isn't it about time we started thinking of Pompey as beneath us as well? They're beneath Crawley, Stevenage, Shrewsbury, Bury and Walsall as well as Bournemouth, so why not? It's what we're used to anyway.
iansums Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 My Mrs (works in Southbourne) gets a bit of stick at work because I'm a 'Scummer' fan. The funny thing is none of them actually support Bmth but support teams like ManU, Arse, Chelsea, QPR, Leeds, WHam but they follow Bmth as their local/second club.
