Turkish Posted 14 January, 2013 Author Share Posted 14 January, 2013 Do you ever add anything meaningful to a thread? What's not meaningful about that? It's a simple question, you're saying its a brillaint guage as to how good a player is, but does it tell you if he spends all his times getting smashed and fighting people, ie got the talent but a crap attitude, is lazy or a bit of a bad boy. I thought it was quite obvious.
MINIBARCELONASAINT Posted 14 January, 2013 Share Posted 14 January, 2013 Hidden ratings? Really?!! And who can see these?? Anyone; you just need to open the editor and take a look. They're just not visible in game mode.
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 14 January, 2013 Share Posted 14 January, 2013 A mature way to debate, that also breaks the forums rules. Grow up. As I said earlier to you, clubs use it as an initial scouting tool and pay for the privilege... http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Everton-using-Football-Manager-computer-game-article33798.html A number of FM researchers are employed by football clubs, some have even been employed to scout for them by clubs off the back of their work on FM. Some people are far too quick to dismiss the game's database as a real life tool. No, you are a real life tool. And no mistake.

I thought it was quite obvious. I haven't said once it is a "brilliant guage" as to how good a player is. All I have said is its a more credible tool for a players position than most public sites. Matthew Le God Posted 14 January, 2013 Share Posted 14 January, 2013 As someone that hasn't played football manager properly since i was about 18 you are going to have to explain that, although it doesn't seem like you are sure yourself. There are a number of data fields that can't be seen in game, but do have an impact. Like a controversy rating. This covers your previous example of a Joey Barton type incident. I use the researchers editor to input the data. I don't use the data editor that anyone buying the game would use, so not 100% sure if you can see the hidden attributes on there but I think it probably would allow you to see those fields. SuperMikey Posted 14 January, 2013 Share Posted 14 January, 2013 Please explain what impact and meaning his position on a computer game has in the real world. Cue 5 page post by MLG... To be fair all the stats on players in the game are compiled by experts on the clubs and leagues, things like what position they play in are pretty much always right. Forren would be a great signing though, very highly rated by Solskjaer (his boss at Molde) and has broken into the Norweigan setup.

Turkish Posted 14 January, 2013 Author Share Posted 14 January, 2013 Why are people getting so worked up over this? Come on Colin, get practising on tiger Woods, if you can beat him on there i'm sure you could beat him in real life.
