Vegard Forren - Signs

Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod

Recommended Posts

This has been the most confusing day since I've been a Saints fan. Welcome Vegard, but I get the feeling you have't picked the greatest day to sign...

Feel a bit sorry for him too. Signing for a PL team is probably a pinnacle of your career, and its been overshadowed.

Bloody cortese.

Had none of this Adkins sacking occured, he'd have had a lovely reception on Monday. Now he's going to wonder what he's walked into.

I couldn't give a ****. This club sucks ball bags.

Yep don't give a toss. **** you cortese you have ruined my enjoyment for the rest of the season and probably beyond

Totally agree, been looking forward to this deal being completed all week as to my mind he looks exactly the type of player we should be signing but after todays revelations I really couldn't give a fook.

This is the epitome of stage management. Can you imagine the calls from Cortese to his agent? 'Just hold on a bit. I need you to be part of a press announcement that makes everything look alright again and takes the flak off me'. Berk

Very very odd for them to announce the deal at that press conference, especially because it is clear that our MP has nothing to do with the deal. I thought that maybe they were going to get him to come into the press conference, a bit like Remy did at QPR, but it was kind of a side comment, and nothing official. Im guessing it will get all the pictures/video/interview all up on Saints website in the next few hours, but still very strange.

FFS what bunch of over emotive drama queens - did you lot all cry in public when Diana died - publically emoting in collective national grief?

Adkins was great, did great and did his job - we are proud of him for sure, but the reaction on here today is commical...

Welcome Vegard - hope you do well fo us lad.

For somebody complaining about people being public you do seem to be going on the wind up rather a lot on a public forum ... me thinks the keyboard warrior doth protest too much!

take a look at the reason why. besides in YOUR OPINION its over emotive. this just in, football can be emotional, to some its more then just a business or a badge of honour when the teams doing well. Quite why you've decided it's for you to deride other fans for being angry and upset is beyond me.

Welcome to SFC Forren.

Thanks for joining but please be aware that loyalty is a meaningless virtue at this club so if you get a slightly better offer elsewhere feel free to do what you can to engineer a move.

Do shut up. There's been hardly any loyalty in professional footbal, at least not for the best part of a century. Just convenience and money.

If this bloke plays well for 6 months and gets tapped up by Inter, he'll be off straight away.

Post of the day Imo. Feel sorry for Nigel who has done a blinding job and will always be a saints legend but think this has been coming for a while. If Nicola truly believes this is part of taking us up to the next level then hopefully we shall see some quality signings to back it up. Let's get behind Mauriccio and the boys and play our part help keep this club up.

If Liverpool had sacked Rodgers early doors and asked to speak to Nigel, do you reckon he would have stayed?

Personally I am disgusted with how it has happened and question the move, but clubs remove managers and managers leave clubs.

Perhaps not. But you can be sure he wouldn't have been colluding with them behind all our backs, sneakily waiting to sod off when he felt like it. He has some honour, dignity and respect, something Cortese doesn't.

He doesn't have the credentials to manage Liverpool as yet. His PL record with a good squad isn't great. Won't get another PL job for a couple of years yet, unless it's Reading of course.

Lost interest in this as well. Probably a good player, but who cares now?

I generally look out for your posts. A sensible guy with a balanced view and an understanding of the realities of life today.

Have to say you've lost it today. I suggest you don't review your posts from today tomorrow.

;-)
