Glasgow_Saint Posted 13 January, 2013 Posted 13 January, 2013 Was told by HNW RM that SRL had won the lottery a few weeks back but took it with a pinch of salt and dismissed it as a random rumour....... Now this in todays Mail >>> http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2261774/Top-Premier-League-star-scoops-125-000-Lottery-win-requests-anonymity--avoid-stick-fans.html Coincidence?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 13 January, 2013 Author Posted 13 January, 2013 I don't understand people that rich doing the lottery. His choice though so good luck to him, an extra month's wages. Thought the same when it was mentioned, but could be his wife maybe? Suppose if you earn 20/30k a week you would maybe chuck £50 on the lottery from time to time? Hope it is him, fair play i say
toofarnorth Posted 13 January, 2013 Posted 13 January, 2013 Says it's a player from a top club. Can't be us
trousers Posted 13 January, 2013 Posted 13 January, 2013 How did the media get to know a player won the lottery in the first place?
Crab Lungs Posted 13 January, 2013 Posted 13 January, 2013 What sort of fan would get angry if a footballer won the lottery? Who gives a billy ballbag, really? Enjoy the money, whoever it is.

Turkish Posted 13 January, 2013 Posted 13 January, 2013 What sort of fan would get angry if a footballer won the lottery? Who gives a billy ballbag, really? Enjoy the money, whoever it is. I would. I am outraged. I just hopes if its one of our young and hungry players they don't lose their hunger otherwise they might not be guaranteed to improve.

LGTL Posted 13 January, 2013 Posted 13 January, 2013 The dad of my gf's mate has won the lottery twice. Both over a million each time. Now that's lucky!
hypochondriac Posted 13 January, 2013 Posted 13 January, 2013 (edited) The dad of my gf's mate has won the lottery twice. Both over a million each time. Now that's lucky! Anyone who won the lottery over a million once and keeps doing it is an idiot. Edited 13 January, 2013 by hypochondriac
Shorty Bainbridge Posted 14 January, 2013 Posted 14 January, 2013 Anyone who won the lottery over a million once and keeps doing it is an idiot. but also a multi-millionaire...
sotonjoe Posted 14 January, 2013 Posted 14 January, 2013 We will never be competitive in the lottery because we are too cautious tactically.
dubai_phil Posted 14 January, 2013 Posted 14 January, 2013 Think WE won the lottery when we signed him tbh

hypochondriac Posted 14 January, 2013 Posted 14 January, 2013 but also a multi-millionaire... The effect of which is rather lessened by the millions who do it every week and win nothing.
Gambol2K9 Posted 14 January, 2013 Posted 14 January, 2013 I don't understand people that rich doing the lottery. His choice though so good luck to him, an extra month's wages. You see a lot of footballers that end up with gambling problems, the financial incentive isn't there, must just be for the buzz.
Whitey Grandad Posted 14 January, 2013 Posted 14 January, 2013 Tax on the poor. Good idea. When does it start?
