would you take a point at Villa if offered now?

Villa are a terrible side and they ought to go down. However, unlike us, they're one of those sides who can pull results out of the bag and do just enough to survive. We should be going for all 3 tomorrow.

Should be, but the match Benteke-Jos gives me the shudders, in fact just Jos gives me the shudders. Jos without José doesn't inspire me.

Some of their fans are worse than some on here (albeit, not on this particular thread) It seems they would snap our hand off for a low scoring defeat!!

Where do you have to go to actually get these points/results before a ball has been kicked anyway?

Nah, not at all to be honest. Looking at our up-coming fixtures, this really needs to be a 3 points. We couldn't really be playing Villa at a better time either. Injuries to all of their exprienced players, on the back of horrible defeats and a humbling to lower league opposition. They are rock bottom at the moment and we have to make the most of this chance.

We're missing players, yep, but we should still have more than enough in our attack to cause their defense problems. If we don't, then I'd start to be very worried. We need to start winning more away games, and this has to be one we target as a win.

Wigan went there, retained the ball and picked them off. We can do the same.

Nope. Have to win this. Villa are a very poor side, Lambert's a poor manager, we should be winning this

Lambert isn't a poor manager what so ever. He's just taken the wrong move, he saw more potential at Villa than Norwich - but that's not paying off at the mo..

Did wonders at Norwich. Hardly a poor manager...

The over-confidence on this forum is hilarious, Villa may be on an awful run but we're not exactly on great form ourselves. 1 win in 7 and no Fonte. I thought Fonte's injury would make us step up our attempts of signing a CB earlier in this window, but obviously I was wrong and we will have to rely on Jos (who has been ****ing dreadful this season and was also poor last season when Fonte wasn't in the side).

If we don't win this one, then serious questions need to be asked of Adkins. A few brave souls here have dared to raise doubts over the last few weeks and have been shot down. Typical Adkins this week " Beware of Villa they will be like a wounded Animal after the Bradford result" Well correct me if I am wrong, but didn't we lose our last home game 5-1, so shouldn't we also be looking for reaction? Doubt it though as its only a cup game so didn't matter.. HYPOCRISY.

In a relegation battle you need to try and take at least 4 points off your relegation rivals and a draw at Villa Park would give us that total. If we do not get beaten then it would be a good result and if we win then a real bonus.

We're gonna struggle to take 4 off Wigan. Or Sunderland. So we need to take more than 4 when we can.
