Barry Sanchez Posted 28 January, 2013 Posted 28 January, 2013 Apparently not. I phoned them last week, not for the away end so you will have to pretend to be a pie eater and sit in the crusts with them.
Shroppie Posted 28 January, 2013 Posted 28 January, 2013 Just checked with Wigan ticket office. "Now highly likely there WILL be a cash turnstile for away fans" Decision on Thursday - phone then for confirmation. Number is 0871 66 33 552, options 1,1,2.
pap Posted 28 January, 2013 Posted 28 January, 2013 I will order tomorrow Am I allowed to have a strop now because you didn't text me asking if I wanted a ticket?
Shroppie Posted 28 January, 2013 Posted 28 January, 2013 I will order tomorrow Should be no need to order. Cash on the turnstile the lady said - but check Thursday.
Royce2uk Posted 30 January, 2013 Posted 30 January, 2013 Anybody traveling up from Bristol with space in their car? May decide to go to this one dependent on work and the costs. Will chip in with petrol money.
SaintAndy14 Posted 30 January, 2013 Posted 30 January, 2013 "The Anvil started life as the All Saints Tavern" - good omen for a pre-match pub! Close to the station too.
pap Posted 30 January, 2013 Posted 30 January, 2013 I think a lot of people will be checking tomorrow. Will definitely be going if you can pay on the day. January = expensive month for the self-employed.
ladysaint Posted 31 January, 2013 Posted 31 January, 2013 If we sell all 5k; I will run onto the pitch naked, take a dump in the centre circle then proceed to rub it all over my face whilst singing Play Up Pompey. I hear that there are a few hundred tickets left now and hopefully these will go either today, tomorrow or on the day. Looking forward to the half time entertainment, dont forget to pick up after you :-)

The Cat Posted 31 January, 2013 Posted 31 January, 2013 If anyone is going up and back on Saturday and has a space in their car from Southampton area then I could do with a lift. Will pay towards petrol and I don't smell.
100%Red&White Posted 31 January, 2013 Posted 31 January, 2013 I hear that there are a few hundred tickets left now and hopefully these will go either today, tomorrow or on the day. :-) From what allocation? I know the end holds around 5,500 but I wouldn't think Wigan would supply that many tickets as few clubs would sell half that. I'd imagine we may have taken around 3k as you can also pay-on-the-day. Would be very good to see getting on for 4,000 up there Saturday and if last night's second half is anything to go by we're in for some entertaining away fixtures in coming months.
This Charming Man Posted 31 January, 2013 Posted 31 January, 2013 I hear that there are a few hundred tickets left now and hopefully these will go either today, tomorrow or on the day. Looking forward to the half time entertainment, dont forget to pick up after you :-) There is no way in a million years we have sold nearly 5k tickets for Wigan.
Dan Posted 31 January, 2013 Posted 31 January, 2013 There is no way in a million years we have sold nearly 5k tickets for Wigan. Im going to jizz in my pants if we have.
View From The Top Posted 31 January, 2013 Posted 31 January, 2013 There is no way in a million years we have sold nearly 5k tickets for Wigan. Believe we've sold the middle 4 of 7 blocks so circa 3kish
saints triumph Posted 31 January, 2013 Posted 31 January, 2013 Anyone else staying up for the weekend? 3 of us travelling up Friday coming back Sunday, staying at the Ashfield Lodge at Standish only £17.50 a night including English breakfast both mornings, bargain me thinks.
oldsarum Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 Believe we've sold the middle 4 of 7 blocks so circa 3kish looking at photo of ground blocks 1 and 7 are really small, so if we've sold 4 blocks between 3000 and 3500 sold http://www.footballgroundguide.com/wigan_athletic/
Saint Garrett Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 More than the best fans in the world anyway.
Mikey88 Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 Might have already been posted elsewhere but should give an idea of where you will be sitting!
ericofarabia Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 More than the best fans in the world anyway. This pic nearly makes me smile as much as The Ted Bates statue!!
cryoman1965 Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 Anyone got two spare places in there car/van from Southampton. Bit of a long shot I know. 07900980638 cheers Nige
Orange Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 Over 3k would be class. Anyone know how many so far?
Mikey88 Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 2400 as of a few days ago. Final numbers being released this afternoon and there is also those that will pay on the day so im guessing theres a good chance of there being over 3000 of us!
This Charming Man Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 3,000 is still quality support. Good to see our fans gave Chelsea, Man Utd and their ridiculous prices a swerve but are out in numbers for this one.
Turkish Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 (edited) me and my Krew are heading up for this one and we will iron out any mug that tries taking liberties. Any chance of someone knocking up a seating plan? Edited 1 February, 2013 by Turkish
RedAndWhite91 Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 More than the best fans in the world anyway. Clearly a photoshop, the bestest fans in the land™ wouldn't be that sh!t, surely?!
benjii Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 Is anyone going out in Wigan on the Saturday night? Wigan town centre isn't just known for its shopping, it also has one of the best night lifes in the North West. King Street is the heart of Wigan's club land with pubs and clubs from many of the major chains including: Chicago Rock, JD Wetherspoons, Jumpin Jacks, Revolution Bar and Reflex.

Whether you have come to Wigan for shopping or a night out, you are sure to find everything you need and have a great time! Don't take my word for it: http://www.wigantowncentre.com/index.php I, for one, am excited and intend to have a blast!

LGTL Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 3000 is great support. Few of us heading out tomorrow night after, I'm hoping Wigan is as awful/brilliant (whatever way you look at it) as Burnley and Barnsley.
Shroppie Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 Sadly expected back over the Pennines by Mrs S. Can't really get excited about the joys of Pontefract so will need to make the most of the lunchtime session.
Shroppie Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 "The Anvil started life as the All Saints Tavern" - good omen for a pre-match pub! Close to the station too. Just saw that on their website. Sounds like it's going back to All Saints tomorrow. . Perhaps we could recommend they readopt the old name!

Insular northern dump with no prospects and no university, not even a polytechnic... I'm guessing it will be grim. As Turkey says though, at least it's got some proper legendary clubs.
Jimbo Posted 1 February, 2013 Posted 1 February, 2013 Well up for this one. Bringing the mrs (taxi home). Will have may hands firmly on a pair of DDs, unfortunately they will be our ticket stubs rather than anything else.

Barry Sanchez Posted 2 February, 2013 Posted 2 February, 2013 2800 tickets sold and tickets on day, over 3000 I think, massive away attendance.
Shroppie Posted 2 February, 2013 Posted 2 February, 2013 In Wigan now. Place full of Saints already. Going to be a good one. Rendition of the Woolston Ferry on the train from Manchester confused the locals. Bless. Beer £2.50. :-) the north has its benefits. Just as long as they don't try to make me live here.
