Anybody traveling up from Bristol with space in their car? May decide to go to this one dependent on work and the costs.

Will chip in with petrol money.

I think a lot of people will be checking tomorrow. Will definitely be going if you can pay on the day. January = expensive month for the self-employed.

If we sell all 5k; I will run onto the pitch naked, take a dump in the centre circle then proceed to rub it all over my face whilst singing Play Up Pompey.

I hear that there are a few hundred tickets left now and hopefully these will go either today, tomorrow or on the day. Looking forward to the half time entertainment, dont forget to pick up after you :-)

Confirmed there is a cash turnstile, to save a few phone calls.

If anyone is going up and back on Saturday and has a space in their car from Southampton area then I could do with a lift. Will pay towards petrol and I don't smell.

From what allocation? I know the end holds around 5,500 but I wouldn't think Wigan would supply that many tickets as few clubs would sell half that. I'd imagine we may have taken around 3k as you can also pay-on-the-day. Would be very good to see getting on for 4,000 up there Saturday and if last night's second half is anything to go by we're in for some entertaining away fixtures in coming months.

There is no way in a million years we have sold nearly 5k tickets for Wigan.

Anyone else staying up for the weekend?

3 of us travelling up Friday coming back Sunday, staying at the Ashfield Lodge at Standish only £17.50 a night including English breakfast both mornings, bargain me thinks.

2400 as of a few days ago. Final numbers being released this afternoon and there is also those that will pay on the day so im guessing theres a good chance of there being over 3000 of us!

me and my Krew are heading up for this one and we will iron out any mug that tries taking liberties. Any chance of someone knocking up a seating plan?

Is anyone going out in Wigan on the Saturday night?

Wigan town centre isn't just known for its shopping, it also has one of the best night lifes in the North West. King Street is the heart of Wigan's club land with pubs and clubs from many of the major chains including: Chicago Rock, JD Wetherspoons, Jumpin Jacks, Revolution Bar and Reflex.

Don't take my word for it: http://www.wigantowncentre.com/index.php

I, for one, am excited and intend to have a blast!

Sorry Nige but you've just got to let it go, your services aren't needed no more.

3000 is great support. Few of us heading out tomorrow night after, I'm hoping Wigan is as awful/brilliant (whatever way you look at it) as Burnley and Barnsley.

Sadly expected back over the Pennines by Mrs S. Can't really get excited about the joys of Pontefract so will need to make the most of the lunchtime session.

"The Anvil started life as the All Saints Tavern" - good omen for a pre-match pub! Close to the station too.

Just saw that on their website. Sounds like it's going back to All Saints tomorrow. :). Perhaps we could recommend they readopt the old name!

Insular northern dump with no prospects and no university, not even a polytechnic... I'm guessing it will be grim.

As Turkey says though, at least it's got some proper legendary clubs.

Well up for this one. Bringing the mrs (taxi home). Will have may hands firmly on a pair of DDs, unfortunately they will be our ticket stubs rather than anything else.

I so like visiting places like that though.

In Wigan now. Place full of Saints already. Going to be a good one. Rendition of the Woolston Ferry on the train from Manchester confused the locals. Bless. Beer £2.50. :-) the north has its benefits. Just as long as they don't try to make me live here.
