Well he's either a one man band buying all these players, or he's offering players to clubs abroad in person. Both of your suggestions, fantastically plausible!!

However... Which one is it Barry, you pathetic sod?

£35m and he's theirs.

But with some nefarious and machiavellian thinking they could hold up potential transfers for CBs and stuff and try to get us relegated and get their man on the cheap. I've worked with Italians you know, lots of them, they sometimes have strange ways of getting things done to their advantage.

Milan: 'No Ramirez, yes Saponara'

By Football Italia staff

Adriano Galliani slammed the door on Gaston Ramirez, admitted to talks for Riccardo Saponara and said goodbye when Alexandre Pato paid a surprise visit to Milan HQ.

It has been a busy day at the club’s Via Turati base, as Pato was there for 40 minutes this afternoon to say goodbye to directors ahead of his transfer to Corinthians.

Meanwhile, Vice-President Galliani is hard at work on incoming transfers and commented on the latest rumours.

“There’s no need for Ramirez, we are fine as we are,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “If someone leaves then we’ll see, but there are no ‘gifts’ on the horizon for the fans.”

There had been reports that Milan made an approach to Southampton for Ramirez, who left Bologna for the Premier League this summer.

Galliani was much more open to talk of a co-ownership deal for Under-21 international creative midfielder Saponara.

“Saponara is certainly a player that fits in with the policy of focusing on youth that Milan are taking.”

The 21-year-old is currently co-owned by Empoli and Parma, but the Rossoneri would be willing to pay €4m to buy out the Tuscan club’s half of his contract.

Saponara had also been linked with Juventus, Inter and Liverpool after scoring eight goals in Serie B this season.

Type into your pc Ramirez to Milan? Hows is that a lie?

All the articles from reputable news agencies are dated from august and july - before we signed him?

As stated about - smacks of someone asking them about him. Bit like what happened when he was asked about would he go back to Italy

My pc gave me a blue screen and needed a kick.

My mac said there is one cheap article from this morning that said the move can only happen when he gets an EU passport (as italian teams have a limit on non-EU players) which means it as been plucked squarely out of some bored journalists ass on a slow news day.

Everything else is from the summer when we signed him because we can and wanted too, everyone else that wanted too couldn't and it seems still can't...

Therefore non-story.

Ah! So everything written in the media is the absolutely irrefutable truth, eh? And in another thread you labelled others naive if they believed that we might achieve some ambitious targets. Mind you, believing this is more likely to label you as gullible as well as naive.

But please don't believe that many others on here are quite as susceptible as you when it comes to believing rumours, conjecture and innuendo.

Ok why go with non story and yet other possible signings are credible? Positive news fantastic journalism, perceived negative news = lazy wumming or a slow news day, thats simply biased and not fair.

No far from it, my wife was a journalist and I know what crap they write, why dismiss a negative press release and slaver over a postive one? That my point.

Seems extremely likely to me that our record signing who is very happy at the club would leave to go back to the country he just left where most of the clubs (and especially Milan) are in financial trouble... definitely not a wind up, at all.

Who slavers over positive reports but dismisses negative ones? Posters might offer opinions about whether they rate the players that are rumoured to come here, whilst others suggest that players of a certain calibre would be unlikely to come here for various reasons.

But I can't recall anybody believing that just because they read about in a newspaper or on a fans' forum, heard it from a taxidriver/office cleaner/friend's dogwalker's brother etc, that it must be true.

And as an aside, is it coincidence that your wife also wrote crap as a journo, or is it a family trait?

Come on Wes, you must be excited by the prospect of us signing players and yet do you ask for the source of the news and the details? I could probably go through your posts to validate that as well, and yet as soon as Ramirez may go its dismissed as rubbish, what about him going to Uruguay was it a couple of months ago? Dismissed again? We all do it, believe what we want to believe and blot out the bad, my wife I cant comment whether she wrote crap or not possibly as she was a journalist but they all do dont they? Unless of course it fits in with your beliefs.

No I am asking for people to treat the reports all the same, perceived negative and positive ones both the same, me posting that was an example of how this is seen as a negative story so therefore without any proof its gets whitewashed.

A postive one of a signing or alledged one is greeted with positive vibes and yet where is the proof? Its exactly the same but one is dismissed and the other embraced, human nature.

Feel free. Go through all of my posts and try and find one where I have given any credence to rumours or conjecture about a player from media reports. You won't find any.

I reserve my comments mostly for when things actually happen. I'm a bit of a killjoy that way, not commenting on things that might not come to pass.

Seeing as Ramirez can't be signed until the summer at the earliest, yet the other threads are about players we have confirmed offers for then I think there is a difference.

Show us an article about Luke Shaw having an Arsenal medical from Sky and then everyone will be negative.

What are you wittering on about? You don't appear to have responded to my request to justify why any comments you have made on this thread couldn't be added to the other thread about us sourcing players from Italy. Come on Barry, give us your reasons, or stop posting additional threads for purposes of self-glorification.

Oh no Wes I have to apologise for two things, well for one really you have asked me to prove something and I cant be arsed so you win that one and I apologise you dont speculate upon possible transfers you wait for them to actually happen.

So Barry can't be arsed to justify why he has started a new thread instead of adding to an existing one which would have been an appropriate destination for his comments.

Come on Mods. Close this one and issue Barry with a warning to behave himself and stop annoying other posters with new unnecessary threads (trolling)

Quotes from Milan now saying they dont need Ramirez and are after another guy so this can be closed.

But Inter might be...

Tancredi Palmeri ‏@tancredipalmeri

Southampton should receive Inter contact in next days to be offered a swap proposal between Ramirez and Alvarez, according to Sky Italy

This is a pointless non story, why are the italians still speculating? As well known, you can only play for 2 clubs per season.

Yeah its silly. Fo one these teams could all have signed Gaston in the summer.

Secondly after spending two months chasing him, signing him and helping him settle, why would we let him go just when he is producing the goods? Bizarre but the Italian media seem to make even more links than the UK media do!

Im sure lots of teams would like Ramirez but clearly not going to happen now!

He didn't play for Bologna this season though did he?

Can't see us selling Ramirez this window, would be madness and the lad seems to be enjoying himself
