bjk Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 I reckon we're going to nick this. 1-0 to Saints.
dubai_phil Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Earlobes 1-2 to Plymouth because we're Saints
GeckoSaint Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Our last 6 matches: L D W L L W - so I'm going for the score draw
Bailey Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Knowing Saints we'll probably lose but I'm hoping for a 2-1 win.
St Marco Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Well the players should be on a high after the Reading game so there is no excuse to then actually do a Reading and not turn up! We need some consistency and we need to change our home form around. We have the worst home form in the league. If we can just change that around and maybe get it more in line with our away form were be miles away from the relegation zone. So for me this is a hugely important game. I think we will win 2-0. However for some reason i would not be surprised if we lost 0-5.
eelpie Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 2 - 1 to Saints. It is a relief to see Bradley scoring again. Hopefully it will kickstart David McGoldrick too. I can't yet believe we won't conceed though, but well done everyone (supporters and players) for the Reading win.
sperm_john Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 hope im wrong, but i can see at best a draw 1-1 or 0-0
Mr X Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 saints being saints it will certainly be back to reality, 2-1 to Plymouth
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Earlobes 1-2 to Plymouth because we're Saints +1.
fanimal Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 As I wore my new reduced £30 away shirt on Saturday afternoon it is clearly lucky, so I will have it on and we will win 2-0 no sweat!!!!!
Nexstar Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Have a feeling we'll play alright and plymouth will be poor. Resulting in an easy 2-0 win for saints.
yorkie Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Plymouth are a different kettle of fish. They are very direct, and a big strong team afetr what I saw on Sunday on The Championship highlights. The passing will be slick - we'll make plenty of chances, but it will be our finishing that may be the deciding factor. Plymouth seem to up the ante against us - and everything else being even I 'd say we will probably lose at home again. Nothing to do with Lowe Nothing to do with Jan Nothing to do with the SMS faithful. Please proove me wrong!
SNSUN Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 I just have a feeling that this will be a dire game, boosted only by a freak clean sheet. 0-0.
Nexstar Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Oh and I also predict it will be freezing cold, with it supposedly feeling like 1 degrees.
Arizona Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Have a feeling it's going to be a s**t 0-0.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 I will go for a 1-1 draw with Saints taking an early lead. Also agree with Nexstar, that it will be freezing cold.
team-saint Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 saints 1-0 plymouth mcgoldrick (78) folly sent off (54) lancashire sent off (2)
Saint_Jonny Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 A fair 1-0 to saints with us missing a barrel load of chances and kelvin providing heroics in the Saints goal. Its ganna be FREEZING tomozzy night, but SO worth it! COYR
Saint Matty 76 Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Typical, after one win we all think we can win a home game, which we won't. 3-1 Plymouth.
SaintJimbo Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Its a long drive home midweek, so need a win this time to make it worth while, 3 - 1 please
team-saint Posted 24 November, 2008 Posted 24 November, 2008 Its a long drive home midweek, so need a win this time to make it worth while, 3 - 1 please good supporting if you're coming from essex for a midweek game
Saint_clark Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Plymouth have some dangerous players, but no clear cut out-and-out goalscorer, so our defence shouldn't be troubled as long as there is an experienced player is there (OK, as long as Perry is there). I'm going to stick my neck out and say we will keep a clean sheet, and score a couple of goals. 2-0 to Saints.
scott_saints Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 We'll lose, and we'll lose badly, and that'll bring us back down to earth. Mark my words, because we're Southampton. It's what we do!!
trousers Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Earlobes 1-2 to Plymouth because we're Saints +1.0
dubai_phil Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 +1.0 actually makes you either +2.0 or rel 1.2 ESB got in there first. Keep wrapped up tonight, I hear it could get cold, don't want no frostbite on ends of noses, fingers etc
slickmick Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Had a strong feeling we would beat Reading, but this game against Plymouth is giving me negative vibes. They seem to be one of those horrible unknown teams that always drag us down to their level of play and beat us by boring us to death. Tonight would be a good time to change that. That would set us up nicely for the Charlton game. We could be 9 points clear of relegation by Saturday evening.
JohnnyFartPants Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 I think we will give them a real pasting. I can see us scoring 5 goals or more. We may well let in 2 though.
ExSt Peter Saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 I can't see us winning going on the way things have gone, especially at home, so far. A draw at best, but more likely an "unlucky" narrow defeat.
St Landrew Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 So many IFs. If the youngsters aren't intimidated by the Home venue, and if they start the game at a fast pace, and largely maintain it, and if they can weather the tactics of Plymouth, then I think they'll play the Argyle off the park. If they fall short on any of those points, Paul Sturrock's team will win. It's a great shame this one is not easy to predict, because after Saturday's result, it should be.
N/West Saint Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 3.1 saints That might bring the crowds back. Great day at reading.
Saint Matty 76 Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Plymouth have some dangerous players, but no clear cut out-and-out goalscorer, so our defence shouldn't be troubled as long as there is an experienced player is there (OK, as long as Perry is there). I'm going to stick my neck out and say we will keep a clean sheet, and score a couple of goals. 2-0 to Saints. Have to agree, but neither do we that aren't out on loan.
jawillwill Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 Just found out that Andy D'Urso is ref tonight. I was at Swansea v Watford a couple of weeks ago and he was in the middle then too. Very very very very poor ref. In fact probably the worst I've ever witnessed (and thats saying something, espeically as I was watching as a neutral). However he never seemed to do anything about Watfords blatent time wasting from the first minute, so I suggest we go and score and early goal and spend the remaining 90 minutes or so taking a throw in. Saints 1 - 0 Plymouth
1976_Child Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 (edited) In all honesty I reckon we will thump plymouth tonight. I can see us having one of our 6-0 days. Up the Saints!! Edited 25 November, 2008 by 1976_Child
egreog Posted 25 November, 2008 Posted 25 November, 2008 As Saints NEVER win 2 in a row.......has to be a Saints 1-3 Plymouth prediction.........they ALWAYS follow a promising victory with a lame defeat.......this could be the turning point but somehow previous experience leads me to doubt it!!
