Adkins reaction to Chelsea hammering

Did ever so well for 44 mins

played really well with changes in the team

great goal from rodriguez

their 2nd goal hit us hard

we were always chasing the game after

we will move on, wont dwell on this

been on a good run playing some good football

in the 2nd half we played the chelsea that are good enough to win the competition

they clearly deserved the victory

it was never a penalty but cant moan too much as chelsea were worthy winners

dont know extent to Jose's injury, still being assessed

we have to make sure we are ready for the aston villa game - crucial

I doubt there was any real expectation to go thought today.. I suspect the players know that the league is paramount. And when we were losing their minds were on next week. I am content with the result and rather that than a draw. Ok not 5-1 but a draw would use up energy we don't want to lose.

Agree and the villa game is more important and hopefully lessons will be learnt from this defeat.

Yeah, right, we're shi.t having only drawn away at Stoke & Fulham & holding a rampant Arsenal in the last 3 games.

Drawing away at Stoke when 3-1 up, managing a draw against Fulham who were woeful on the day due to crap keeping by Kelvin and not seeing off Arsenal when they were probably the poorest they had been all season. So yes excuse me If I don't see that as progress. 3 draws is equivalent to ONE win, I wish Adkins would show some more guts and not be satisfied with mediocrity.

This. What is required most of all is an experienced vocal leader on the pitch, not a good fit with current transfer policy but we are crying out for a genuine been there, seen it, done it, to give these talented youngsters some leadership...

Why did'nt we sign one agaes ago when its obvious what we needed, I said a Hurlock kind of player and the 18 year old hairdressers laugh saying we did not need that kind of player, they obviously have not seen him play.

We will get into Europe via the fair play League so this is a cunning plan by the tanned one and Nicky...........................

Anything about transfers ? Even a couple of wishy-washy platitudes ?

Thought not.

....and you know he hasn't....we have lost 2 in the last 10 by the way...did you think we would walk this league?

Adkins decisions at times baffle me....but considering our summer transfer policy I didn't expect anything else and

anyone that did is clueless.

I think its only a matter of time before Di Matteo replaces him anyway...will he do any better with this lot ...not a chance.

Until we have a decent spine we will continue to flatter and struggle. If by some chance we can stay up then next season will

hopefully see a massive improvement hopefully when we bring in what we need.

Who is responsible for such a ****e window and should they be held accountable?

Yeah, like you'd know...what the club needs is a terminally negative blob to put it right...

I reckon...hand to head thingie!

This one is sleeping his way right into the Championship clapping at Adkins inadequate signings but spouting every 14 seconds in deflections about back to back promotions.

Ah the skate view, as ever in defence of anything negative about Saints, did you get to Walsall being as it's closer to you?

...deflections??!!

What the club does seem to need is personnel with recent Premier League experience, in the form of playing staff if not additions to the coaching staff. Adkins and the players have potential but could do with some mentors in the Ball and Case mould...

Nah, the management are too clever for that. They are going the tried-and-tested "Lowe Transfer Policy" route, which involved buying in loads of Johnny Foreigner to avoid high wages and fees and hoping they make the grade. When did we last buy experience from a fellow PL team ?

I am a Saints fan, you are not, you are an Adkins fan.

There is a huge difference you know, just because you are a clapping seal at his ****e deflections it does not mean we all are, pressing questions are the squad, what will be of it if we are relegated, what will be of it in the transfer window because as it stands we are righ in danger of going down but still saying we are great.

The great betrayal and deception.

Seems fair enough comment to me !

Yet again, so many 'over the top' negative responses. We had a bad day, what the hell do you expect the man to say ??

Of course you are Basil...you drivelled that with all the conviction of a fish-f*cker who has the inbred instincts that go with it....attracted by the negativity toward a club that plays in red and white - you keep protesting eh?

Protesting what? Is that the best accuastion you have as you dont agree with me? that sounds close minded and well as you put it inbred, keep smearing that poster of the tanned one with your weakend love juice................

Look at your posts skate...spot the proportion that are positive to any aspect of Saints...then the protestations and accusations - the stench of fish is unbearable.

This unfortunately. This is fast becoming a 'would', 'should' and 'could' season - we are just throwing far too many points away. Too soft, players not good enough for this league, not enough savvy - and as somebody else pointed out, not buying experienced premiership players.

Don't get me wrong - I don't particularly mind getting relegated, that's what I saw at the start of the season and up to now I see nothing that really changes my opinion, but those people like Dalek who think we will become a yo yo club - you are wrong - we will only yo.

Every single transfer window NC and NA have moved this club up.

Since we signed Ramirez and Yoshida we have not performed as relegation side.

Likes of Alpine and Dell days insisted we would so totally adrift by this window if NA wasn't sacked.

Instead his management and signings have got us out, just, of bottom three.

Its time alpine learnt everyone of his predictions is wrong.

Its time that he learnt the basics of football transfer windows and acknowledge no-one has been as successful over the last few.

Still this man shows his low intelligence, insight and lack of recognition of the clubs achievements thinking its gone wrong again...when did it go wrong?

Whenever threads, like the one him and DD's predicted no points and we did well, or Morgan one where usual drama queens were talking about their conspiracy theories, they moan its gloating and petty...don't moan...learn!!!

Before the Stoke match last week, he confidently predicted no more than 3 points from the next 10 games.

2 games gone, 2 points earned. His predictions don't look too hot. For his sake, I hope he doesn't bet on football matches.
