sir woody Posted 14 January, 2013 Posted 14 January, 2013 I think we will take 10 points from these matches with a bit of self belief and a following wind. Agreed, possibly more with a bit of luck.
alpine_saint Posted 14 January, 2013 Posted 14 January, 2013 The next seven games look horrendous! I reckon we'll get a maximum of 5 points and be in the bottom 2. What do you think? Villa away 1-1 Chelsea away 1-3 Everton home 1-1 Man U away 0-3 Wigan away 2-1 Man C home 0-2 Newcastle away 0-1 Hopefully I'm wrong...... Well, apart from the fact that you fell at the first hurdle, as I discovered this morning, our relegation rivals also play 7 games at the same time as us (well, they play 6, but who cares), and some of them are facing bloody nightmares too.

Ok wrong about Villa tell me which of the others you disagree with then?

Dogs Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 Hardly anything to draw conclusions from but Villa 3 Chelsea 1 Everton 3 Man U 0 Wigan 3 Man C 0 Newcastle 1 Well done, keep it up.
Leicestersaint Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 I think we will take 10 points from these matches with a bit of self belief and a following wind. I think my estimate of ten points is starting to look a bit on the low side!!
Turkish Posted 16 January, 2013 Posted 16 January, 2013 "...and I am usually right" Looks like we wont beat everton based on that.
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Villa 1-3 Saints Chelsea 3-0 Saints Saints 2-1 Everton Man U 3-1 Saints Wigan 1-3 Saints Saints 1-1 Man City Newcastle 2-2 Saints 11 points from 7 games would be just the ticket. 9 so far, but could be 12, but expect a harder game up in Newcastle, than we have had for a while. I would take a point!

Villa away 1-1 Chelsea away 1-3 Everton home 1-1 Man U away 0-3 Wigan away 2-1 Man C home 0-2 Newcastle away 0-1 Hopefully I'm wrong...... Actually, even if you had been right about the scores you would have been wrong about the impact. We wouldn't have even been in the bottom four! Now we only have 2 games against the top 7 left. Top half beckons me thinks if we continue playing as we are.
Dr Who? Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 I for one cannot believe how much things have changed, we are looking really good. Top half finish would be amazing after our terrible start to the season.
red&white56 Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 What's important is that we are playing good football and creating chances away from home (not just at home). I'm not so confident about Newcastle away, they have brought in some good players and they'll have home advantage, but a draw looks more of a possibility than when this thread was first started.
Restark19 Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 You are wrong. HTH. Hindsight's a wonderful thing.
